Angelica had just returned from visiting obstetrician for a pregnancy check-up, accompanied by Charlie as always. She slowed her steps upon seeing Louis standing on the terrace, as if waiting for her.

"I didn't expect him to dare come here," Charlie murmured, holding Angelica's hand.

"I actually didn't want to see him," Angelica whispered.

"You should go inside; let me talk to him..."

"It's okay." Charlie looked into her blue eyes reassuringly. "Everything will be fine. We won't argue... He can't hurt me, and I won't hurt him."

Angelica looked at Charlie, nodding slowly.

Louis clenched his fists and approached them.
