Vera beamed when Neven accepted to let her go on a mission. Her smile disoriented him; he wasn't expecting it. However, he recomposed himself and just nodded at her.
«But there are some conditions.»
«Yeah?» she chuckled. «Don't tell me!»
«First of all, you're not allowed to put yourself in danger. You need to eat and sleep enough. And come back without a scratch. Also, avoid scary places. You shouldn't put yourself under so much stress.»
«Yeah?» she said, still laughing.
«To ensure that my conditions are met, you will be monitored.»
«By whom?»
Neven turned to Tom, almost saying what he had thought before. But had Tom the patience to check Vera was eating? It was more of a mission for Florian, but he had to stay in Vienna until Neven found a way to tell her that Mark Kaplan's secretary was actually his best assistant.
