This isn't a game

--------------------

Quest failed

Punishment will now be carried out

--------------------

As I saw the dreadful message I completely came back into consciousness. A searing pain filled my heart as I didn't want to believe I was going to lose a limb.

10 seconds went by.

Nothing happened

30 seconds went by.

Nothing happened

1 minute went by.

Nothing happened

Maybe it was a joke, maybe it was just to scare me. I mean come on this is just like a game. There is no way they would actually punish me. That would be torture.

I could see the dragon kilometers away getting ready to charge at me again. Since I didn't have to worry about a quest I could use more mana to kill it.

The ground began to shake, the dragon was coming. I got into a stance that I thought looked cool and also thought might help me fight this piece of shit. The dragon broke through the ground once again and looked in my direction. The grinding of its teeth had stopped, what did that mean?

The dragon let out another screech, but this one was different. Seconds later a shadow appeared below me. I looked up and saw a massive boulder about to be dropped at my location. In a panic, I ran out of the range of the boulder. As the boulder landed another dust storm was created as I was being forcefully pushed back but it's a large impact. Was the dragon stalling? Or is it just toying with me?

As the dust storm cleared the dragon stood in front of me, the grinding of the teeth starting to return as it seemed to be angered again. From what I understood the grinding of the teeth means it's angry and it's ready to charge and when it screeches it summons a boulder above me. This information was helpful as I was truly ready to fight.

[Mana punch, 400 mana]

The dragon charged at me once again at full speed, this time I slickly dodged to the side and punched the dragon with another mana punch knocking it back into a sandstone pillar.

Instead of giving it time to get back up I ran to the dragon as fast as I could preparing another mana punch. As I approached the dragon a notification popped up in my face.

"Did you really think this was a game, Oliver?"

"HEHA."

In that instant, I felt an inconceivable amount of pain in my right arm. I fell out of my knees screaming in pain as I watched my right arm's skin being ripped off.

Then it was the blood being drained from my arm.

Then it was the muscles slowly rotting falling off.

Then it was the bones being ripped from the shoulders.

Then it was gone.

I screamed and screamed and screamed until nothing came out of my mouth, soon I laid there in silence.

This was no game.

This wasn't the fantasy world that I thought it was.

This was a glorified torture chamber.

As I continue to lay there as if I was a vegetable I heard the dragons screech. A boulder was summoned above me. Did I want to move out of the way, do I really want to stay here if this is how it is going to be? I closed my eyes preparing myself to let the boulder fall. As I heard the boulder closing in the more fear I was filled with, I couldn't do it. I couldn't let myself be killed in this stupid world.

I will survive, and I will completely destroy the person who did this to me. I will kill you Entity.

[Mana punch, 1,000 mana]

My left arm lit up with the same blue magic as always, the blue magic quickly surrounded the boulder and popped it like a balloon. The pain was unbearable, I could barely lift up my left arm that wasn't even affected. I pointed my fist towards the boulder hoping it would land on it and the magic would do the work. It fell on my fist and in that instant it exploded like a balloon throwing debris everywhere.

My left arm went numb as I sat there completely broken.

"I am not going to die."

"I refuse to die."

As I sat there repeatedly saying that, I chuckled to myself.

How much more cliche could this situation get. Maybe I am supposed to be some tragic hero or have some personality change or something. Yeah no that's not gonna happen.

As I sat there laughing to myself, I heard the grinding of the dragon. I tried to move but it was utterly impossible. At this point, I couldn't help but scream.

"LISTEN HERE ENTITY, THIS WON'T BREAK ME, I AM NOT GOING TO DIE HERE YOU PIECE OF SH-."

Quest created by The Entity: Defeat the Terra Dragon, no mana limit

Punishment: Everlasting Pain

Reward: Regain lost arm

--------------------

"Oh, thanks."

The possibility of regaining my arm gave me enough to stand up. My shirt had been broken and my belly wobbled as I stared directly at the dragon. I felt like kung fu panda.

The dragon had 5,000 health left, I will only be able to punch one more time before I run out of strength. I had to make this one count.

"Fuck it," I said with the intention to use a punch using 1,000 of my mana. I panicked, 1,000 mana was may more than I needed, but I needed to finish this quest. I had to.

[Mana punch, 1,000 mana]

My fist lit up, the blue magic slowly engulfed my left hand, as it reached my shoulder it turned from blue to purple and the magic was so bright I couldn't see out of my left eye properly. Using the last of my strength I slowly winded up my punch as the dragon slithered towards me at an incredible speed, a lot faster than the previous charges.

The dragon reached me, I jumped into its mouth and using all my strength punched its gaping mouth. The purple magic surrounded the entire dragon inside and out and in that same second the dragon erupted into a million pieces covering me in its green blood.

Quest Completed

The reward will now be given

--------------------

"Haha, finally I can get some peace and quiet," I whispered as I collapsed on the ground.

My arm started coming back, rebuilding itself using some sort of magic. First the bones, then the blood, the muscle, and the skin. I struggled to keep consciousness, I opened my menu to see if I had gained anything else. I looked at my level and noticed I was level 62. Though I was ecstatic about it I realized. I would have gained the 50 levels regardless. I could have killed the dragon normally without the first quest and still gained 50 levels. The Entity is toying with me, purposely making my life harder.

What is he trying to do I thought, what is he up to I thought as I faded into a slumber.
