Chapter 0 Apocalypse

"Update?" A giant man covered head to toe in obsidian black armor His presence caused many of the other men in the room to stop breathing for a second before they recollected themselves. The aura surrounding this man was suffocating and majestic, showing how powerful he truly was.

Suddenly an obsidian-colored elf stepped forward, wearing a full white tunic and black slacks. He looked incredibly unimpressive in every physical aspect.

"The portal randomly opened up a few minutes ago, and from the power fluctuations we're picking up, an incredibly high-level fight is taking place." This man was Alder; he was currently in charge of keeping an eye on the portal until someone more powerful showed up.

"What're you going to do, Jevan?" Alder asked the giant armored man.

"If I'm not back in two minutes, force close the portal." Jevan said as he slowly walked into the portal.

"Fearless bastard," Alder said while rubbing his temples.

—-Other side

As Jevan walked across the portal, he was immediately met with a small, flying purple abomination of a creature coming straight at him. An aura of lightning began coursing through his body, and I merely sidestepped the abomination and punched a hole through its head in the blink of an eye. Quickly, he began to look around, and immediately, the color from his face drained. All around him were millions upon millions of different kinds of abominations that were trying to enter a tiny encirclement around a portal. There used to be a building around the portal, but it was completely in shambles, and thousands of bodies littered the ground, attempting to put some semblance of resistance against this horde.

Many of the figures defending had golden auras around them, while some were scarred and heavily injured from the constant onslaught.

"You!" Suddenly a man descended from the sky covered in purple blood. His golden armor was all but destroyed from his previous fight, but his eyes showed he had plenty of willpower left to keep up the fight. His hair was an onyx black, paired with a very toned body. He carried an obsidian-colored weapon in each hand that was stained with copious amounts of blood and guts. Attached to his back were golden tendrils radiating majesty; clearly, the man was of high standing in this world.

"You better prepare for this." Is all the man said before signaling a woman over with a basket. She had long golden hair and a very petite build, but you couldn't see her face since it was covered with a cowl.

"All I ask is that you take these two with you and this case." Out of nowhere, a metal case materialized with runic carvings all over it.

"This box can only be opened by my wife, so don't try anything." He pointed towards the basket the woman was carrying.

Suddenly, an incredibly dense aura descended upon everyone in the encirclement, causing a hole in the formation to appear.

"Now go! Before the Overlord gets here!" The man bellowed before jumping into the sky, leaving a giant crater where he once stood.

Internally, Jevan wasn't sure what to do, but clearly, whatever this "overlord" was, he didn't want to be around it when he arrived.

"I expect you to fill me in on what has transpired here." He looked over and saw the woman carrying the basket before signaling her to follow him. He let her cross through the portal first before using a ring on his hand to store the case. This was a space ring that could store inanimate objects. Right before he could step through the portal, a boom reverberated throughout the world, and suddenly both warglaives the earlier man was wielding landed right next to Jevan.

At this moment, he turned and saw something he wished to never see again.

A giant "thing" was slowly descending from the sky; in one hand was the upper body of the man wielding the warglaives, while the other hand carried the bottom half. Jevan knew from his previous encounter that this man was clearly more powerful than he was, so he offered no objections to what he said. But seeing how fast he died to this "thing", he knew he had to evacuate now!

Quickly, he activated his ring and stored the two warglaives before channeling all his power and leaping through the portal. Right before he went through, a tentacle managed to strike his back, and it completely disintegrated his armor at the point of impact.

——Home World

Alder has already gotten guards to keep an eye on the woman who had just crossed and was waiting for Jevan. Suddenly he saw Jevan fly through the portal, and when he saw his back, he immediately screamed at the magi maintaining the portal.

"CLOSE IT NOW!" Right as the portal closed, the same tentacle made its way through and slashed another guard before the portal finally closed and severed the tentacle.

Alder looked over at the damage and was horrified by the damage the tentacle had caused. The guard it hit was dead already and was convulsing on the ground, while Jevan was out cold.

"Get a healer in here now! We have a problem!"

While all of this occurred, the woman in the corner was staring into the eyes of the baby in the basket. One eye was a deep blue, but instead of an iris, it held a black hourglass symbol. While his other eye looked like you were staring at outer space.

Shortly after the guards began to force the woman to move and break her hypnotic-like trance, she was upset internally, but she clearly couldn't do anything about it right now.

In another space sat a gathering of people who had their identities obscured by magic, so you could only see their eyes. Each one had a very different body type and aura surrounding them, but each of them was on a level way above even Jevan.

"Are you sure we won't be punished?" Said one figure who looked like a ball of snakes with two deep amber eyes.

"Of courseeeee! When have you ever known me to fool around? All we did was use my brother as a means to an end; that kid isn't a god. Plus, this kid's world is already done for; I think they already destroyed it too." Said a man with blonde hair and enough charisma to make anyone like him.

"Enough! I grow tired of these games, Lucifer." A humanoid dragon, he had silver-white scales and blue eyes.

"Sloth, can you tell Bahamut to call down, please?" Lucifer said this with a sh*t-eating grin on his face.

"It's Yog Sothoth, imbecile." Said the ball of snakes called Yog Sothoth.

"Can anyone explain why you all pulled me from my world?" Said a person who wasn't even sitting at the table.

"Well, Dante, my boy, you're finally getting what you've always wanted, of course!" Lucifer said it enthusiastically.

"And that is?" Dante said.

Slowly, Lucifer put his hand up, and a screen began to materialize.

"Excitement!" Lucifer yelled at Dante.

"Become our herald!" Lucifer said to Dante.
