60 Death List

Sealed Territory Border, Blue Fire Army Outpost

The morning sun rose gracefully into the air as hundreds of men marched to the outskirts of Green Mountain Forest. A plentiful amount of Gene Elementalists had been sent by Morine Haru to check on the three gates protecting them from the Hegemon's beyond the border.

At the helm of the plethora of troops were two King Grade Gene Elementalists, Matsuno Jakuchu and Ichisake, who had on completely arrogant and impenetrable gazes. They'd already proven themselves to be the strongest in the Blue Fire Academy when they graduated last year, and their smug attitudes were worn on their sleeves like a type of transparent armor.

However, Jakunchu and Ichisake were at the same time were completely loved by their pack of troops following densely behind them. They regularly granted them holidays which Takemoto Kenzan completely prohibited for his troops. Not a single one of them hadn't spent the night before without a women satisfying their desires, and they all had enough food to bring back to their families.

Ultimately, they still had to answer the Gene Association's beck and call when great times of war were looming on the horizon. They'd recently learned the Dark Association had planned an attack on the walls of energy fully erect in front of them. However, rather than shining brightly like a star penetrating the center of the endless sky, the walls had become dim to the point you could see the Mutated Beasts scouting it out on the other side.

Jakunchu licked a rock he found on the dirt before spitting out the rocky sediments from his craggy jaw and staring akimbo at the forest. Climbing to his feet, he turned worriedly towards Ichisake who also spit out the grime filled stone with a worried look that soon overcast his face.

"The Dark Association has been here already. However, why is the enigma cornerstone still here? It doesn't make any sense!"

"They must be waiting for a special moment. Tell the men to spread out and activate their best defensive gene elements."

"Got it." Ichisake replied, spreading out his men to avoid any unnecessary casualties. Soon the entire platoon had been separated equidistant from their neighbors, and they waited by the wall as the color on it once again started to fade.

"Damn it! What's happening Ichisake! This shouldn't be possible! There are guards at every single outpost protecting the enigma cornerstones! If it gets any lighter, the beasts are going to charge through and we're all going to be dead!"

"I know!" Ichisake replied as Jakunchu began investigating the territory for any signs of battle. He could only conclude that one man had definitely been here, and he had been against at least a hundred other men. However, there were no bodies remaining and not a single drop of blood showcasing what had happened at this interminable wall of might.

Feeling frustrated a strange sound began to hum in the air before a cloud of blood dropped on top of the waiting Gene Elementalists. With their level 10 – 13 Gene Elements surrounding their bodies, they were completely impervious to the blood spatter that had fallen on their armor.

A hoarse voice soon laughed before a strange looking old man landed on the ground. Clapping with his two hands, the wings on his back slowly retracted before he walked directly into the crowd of soldiers.

"You guys are smart. Unlike the last group, I didn't get to watch you melt into piles of shit and dust. It's a shame really because I didn't want the end of your lives to be difficult."

"Very funny. Orio Giichi had been stationed here. He wouldn't go down without a fight and would pummel your old crotchety ass into fertilizer."

"What are you talking about? Do you think I asked the fertilizer what kind they were before I used them to plant trees? No, I merely melted them with that blood I spit out of my mouth. See… Look… I found an eye!"

The strange old man clearly came from the Dark Association and had a scar down his red eyes. As for his long black cape, it had blood spattering's all over it of various tints and shades.

Gene Elementalists of various elements would have slightly different thicknesses and color to the viscous blood running from their hearts to their legs. Ichisake his blood boil as he realized what had most likely happened here, and thrust his fist forward as his entire platoon fired off their earth gene element's towards the lunatic brazenly standing in the center of them.

However, soon a flash of light appeared out from his two eyes and all the attacks seemed to solidify as if by his will. However, it was something much more nefarious and three of the hundred men fell down from an invisible Gene Element string that had pierced into their flesh.

Ichisake and Jakunchu were the only two that had noticed the subtle change in fluctuations because they had surpassed level 60 and their senses of the elements in the air had rapidly increased. They immediately screamed for their platoons to run as the Dark Elementalist named Crooks made a set of seals with his hands and opened up his mouth.

A terrifying amount of blood shot out of his mouth and assailed towards the running away Gene Elementalists. Since they were running, only fifty out of the hundred Gene Elementalists had mastered a high enough Gene Movement technique to dodge the impending sanguinary plague. Arriving on his left and right plank, Ichi and Jaku used their fiercest skills immediately to provide support for their fellow brethren.

*Boom~~~~*

"Heh, you two are noble, but I'll still be banging your wives later tonight. I owe it to smart people that I grant them the worst after their deaths."

"Leave our wives out of this, Crooks. Don't think we don't know who you are and what you can do?"

"Oh, so you've heard of me from the dark association rankings? Did I enter the top 100 yet?"

"Not even the top 500." Jakunchi answered, gathering a level 15 Gene Element called poison tail fist in his hand as Ichisake did the same. They'd spent countless years together in Blue Fire Academy, before they'd first banged their wives, and had always been in the same class.

Jakunchi had been the top student in his class, and Ichisake had always been the last in his class. However, that was just because Ichisake never wanted to show his true intelligence to the Government. When they'd finally graduated, suddenly Ichisake soared up the rankings and became a two star lieutenant while Jakunchi trailed behind him. Seeing his best friend about to put out his final resort attack, Jakunchi did the same thing as a level 15 Gene Element also activated in his hand.

Crooks just laughed and kept imaging the two Gene Association's heroes and their wives being given to him on a silver platter before he muttered out his sick delusions, "They are going to love seeing your heads in the bed room!"
