It was an odd feeling knowing you were just a clone and yet you felt no different than the original body aside from lack of power. Just knowing you existed for a small task and then you won't live long after and will soon be consumed by the original. Every clone was aware, but they tried not to think about such things and focus on their task's. To rebel against the original was to rebel against ones self. It was pointless and they all had the same thoughts and goals.
Clone1 was currently pretending to look at candles through the outside window of a nearby shop, but was secretly observing the Vegeta Look alike and listening to his conversation with the beautiful young dark skinned woman beside him.
"I wanted to see mom, why are we here?" Vegeta Zor-El said seemingly annoyed as he looked around at all of the storefronts. He even saw a homeless man in front of a candle shop digging a wedgie out of his butt. 'Gross' he thought.
Jenni punched Vegeta Zor-El's shoulder playfully "Why are you always such a grouch? You are just like your Father. Lighten up baby! I thought we could look at the shops and maybe grab a bite to eat first."
Vegeta Zor-El turned his nose upward at her words. "Hmph, I am nothing like that geezer dreg".
Jenni rolled her eyes. "If your father is a dreg, everyone is a dreg. ... Oh look! I have never seen one of these before! WOW! So retro!". She had picked up an item from an outside shop selling odd old fashioned gadgets.
Vegeta Zor-El looked at the item she had in her hand without much interest. "Everything here is an antique and therefore retro. I don't see the appeal."
Jenni grabbed Vegeta Zor-El's hand as she placed the outside shops item back down with her other hand before walking to one of the inside shops store doors. "I promise we will see your mom soon. Can't you wait just a bit longer?"
Vegeta Zor-El sighed. "At this point in time she is always hanging out at my dads place and our chances of being caught are higher. Moonlight Castle is under my fathers full control and is not something even I can break into, no matter what year it is".
Jenni thought about Vegeta Zor-El's words. He was right. After thinking about it for a second she spoke. "Isn't your fathers shop supposed to open in a couple of days? Wouldn't she be at the opening ceremony?"
Vegeta Zor-El could only nod his head at her words. "So will my father though. I admit we look a lot alike, so I'll wear some sunglasses to blend in a bit better." Right after saying this, Vegeta Zor-El looked over to the homeless man that had been following them for some time now. "Why have you been following us? if you want creds.. I mean money, you are barking up the wrong tree. We are broke college students that are probably just as poor as you"
The hobo upon hearing Vegeta Zor-El's words nodded, turned around, and walked away. Once he could no longer see Vegeta Zor-El anymore he began to run at full speed towards downtown Moonlight City. Unfortunately, it was Moonlight City. As the clone/hobo turned the corner of a street, he found himself face to face with a green skinned woman with bright red hair who was admiring the alien plant life of Moonlight City.
"That's weird" the green skinned woman spoke before looking in Clone1's direction who still had the look of a hobo. "Why do these plants respond to you and not me? Who are you and why are you here?"
Clone1 didn't know what to say. It was purely coincidence that he stumbled on what appeared to be Poison Ivy trying to rizz up Moonlight Cities alien plant life and obviously failing. "I'm just a homeless man, I was heading downtown to beg for money. I'm sorry if I interrupted something."
Poison Ivy wasn't convinced. "I don't believe you. Answer my question, why do these plants respond to you when they don't even respond to me?" She asked once again as vines started to try and grab ahold of him. Clone1 swiftly dodged each one making Ivy even more suspicious of him.
"Talk or die" She added.
The act was up and Clone1 wasn't as strong as the original. If poison ivy got ahold of him, he wasn't sure how long he could last under her torture if she wanted information out of him. Without missing a beat, Clone1 pulled a plastic one use gun out of his pocket and blew his own brains out.
Poison Ivy was speechless as she witnessed this take place. She was even more speechless when the body that had slumped down in front of her dead just disappeared as if it was never there. Only the plastic gun that had destroyed itself upon firing it's only round had been left behind. "...What?"
She had to take a moment to gather herself as the shock was just too much. "I thought Gotham was interesting, but the longer I stay here, the more questions I have about this City." Ivy said out loud before trying to cuddle up next to the alien plant life that was unique to Moonlight City alone, only to see the plant move away from her as if it was being sexually harassed".
Ivy laughed upon seeing this. "You playing hard to get just makes me want to win you over even more." She had already forgotten about the man who had just blown his brains out and disappeared in front of her.
In another part of Moonlight City, King Moonlight had just gotten flooded with new memories and was in awe of what his clone had learned in his stead.
So they will be at the store opening a couple of days from now? I might learn more then. There is no need to rush things considering I know where they will go next. Still, I find it hard to believe that I have a son and never gifted him the hair growth potion or helped him with his height. Future me seems crueler than my current self. I had many questions and many other thoughts on this matter, but I decided to contain my curiosity for now.
I couldn't help myself as I looked over at Supergirl who seemed to follow me around a lot these days. She was pretty, but I honestly don't have time to play house currently. The thought of romance alone made me want to barf, still some women were temptations. Supergirl was one of them. The young man who was supposedly his son from the future had a couple of her features. Was she the young mans mom?
Sorry for the long wait. I just needed a break. I also have been a bit more busy than normal.
