The system had let me know that over 400 people within moonlight city had entered the warriors tower within 10 hours of me announcing it. Luckily, the tower wasn't visible to anyone except myself. If a person was to walk towards the tower, they would simply pass right through it and exit the other side. the people would not be visible within the tower itself either.
It was basically in it's own dimension like my house, cut off to the outside world unless I chose to make them visible. The tower would be invisible until someone in Moonlight city wished to challenge it and then it would be visible only to them and the others that wished to challenge it or was currently challenging it.
The blood moon, although it took the place of the sun and was a moon, lit up the city well in the daytime just like if the sun was around. Charlotte had found out after being out all day that you could still get a tan as well. The only difference that I could see was the fact that it was a blood moon instead of a sun and it didn't hurt our growing Vampire population.
If I had any complaints, it would be the new plant life. They seemed alive and would sometimes uproot themselves and move around which creeped people out, including myself.
After the city upgrade I also finally put the two hundred helper robots to use that I had gotten out of Kimjar ro's pirate ship a while back. I had put my moon symbol on every one of their right breastplates and then just released them into the city in different areas.
They would repair things that needed repaired, clean up litter, save animals, take care of plant life, and help walk the elderly across the street. I had also made a second announcement to let people know they could hire these robots for construction and other similar jobs if they came by my castle and applied to rent them out.
My holodeck room hadn't been upgraded, but I was surprised to see that my beaming room had been. I could now store 10 places on it instead of 5 and I could now beam others along with me If I wanted. It was the only room that got a free upgrade though sadly aside from our bedrooms.
One of the new more interesting domain perks was the moon related items, good natured people, and good natured creatures, that could on the rare chance end up outside my Castle at midnight once every first of the month. Apparently they would arrive from other fictional universes and If they swore loyalty within a week, they would stay. I was looking forward to my first encounter.
As I was thinking about Moonlight City and all it's new features, I was contacted by the Justice league. They informed me that an asteroid was making it's way to earth that was too big for superman to do anything about, so they planned to divert it once they figured out what it was made of.
Hearing this, I knew it was finally time for the trip to war world and so I beamed up to the watchtower, eager to participate in the upcoming events.
Superman, John Jones, and myself were the ones chosen for this mission because we were the only ones that could fly in space. GL John Sewart was away on Green Lantern business so he could not attend.
Hawkgirl gave each of us a space suit, not so much to protect us, but so that we could communicate with her and each other through the vacuum of space.
"The asteroid is currently nearing Saturn and will be here soon, we have to work fast" Hawkgirl informed us as we put our space suits on.
John and me both nodded our heads while Superman spoke "Don't worry Hawkgirl, we will put a stop to it's path to earth soon".
John, Superman, and myself all left the watchtower and then flew towards Saturn where we saw a huge slow moving asteroid traveling through space.
Superman and I could both easily destroy the rock, but then that would send thousands of smaller rocks in every direction, potentially towards earth or even the watchtower.
The asteroid was also too huge for superman to move. Both him and I working together might have been able to, but I wanted my free ticket to war world and so I chose to let the events unfold.
Superman stabbed a diagnostic spike into the asteroid and then John read out it's readings. "32% iron oxide, 21% carbon, 19% silicon".
"Are you getting this Hawkgirl?" Superman asked through the coms.
"As if you were in the next room, I'm sending the data through backup analysis even as we speak." Hawkgirl replied and then gave a pause before speaking again. "Three and a half miles across, could you imagine if this had hit earth?"
"That's not going to happen" said Superman
I then picked up a big cylinder that I had carried here and embedded it into the asteroid. It was meant to act as a Jet propulsion that would change the asteroids trajectory away from earth. Superman also embedded one of his own and then we both activated them before flying off the asteroid with John.
"You two ready?" I asked looking at them, to which they both replied with "Ready".
At this time the diagnostic transmitter had sent new information to Hawkgirl and she yelled out on coms "Oh no, the computer says there are hydrogen pockets inside the asteroid get away from there before it-".
It was too late, the asteroid exploded sending John, Superman, and myself flying away. The explosion was bigger than anything I had ever seen, knocking Superman and John out on impact. I hadn't been knocked out, but I was pretty beat up and decided to pretend to be knocked out once I saw the ship approaching. It was the ship that would take us to war world.
The ship approached, beamed us into it, and then flew off.
Hawkgirl couldn't do a thing and chose to call the rest of the league.
