5 Green Creature

"So, what're we looking for again?" asked Riley.

"We need to get plenty of woods and find some animals to butcher for dinner," Rick answered.

"Oh, so that's why we're having this long distance walk from our hut, even though we're in a forest. All the animals close to our hut have already been butchered earlier."

"Yeah. We need to get as many beef as we can so that we'll not have to worry about our food supplies for a couple of days later."

The two continued their walk, deeper into the forest as they kill every cow that they sighted on their journey. After a certain of distance into the forest, they finally got to the end of the forest and came across a wide land with less trees. The area was an easy place to spot the animals that were wandering around. And plus, the area is filled with many kinds of animals as well. It was a jackpot for the two.

"You see that. That is a good place for us to get as many food as we can. It was hard for us to hunt down animals in the forest but in this area, we can easily see where they are." claimed Rick. Riley's mouth was wide open, amazed with the numbers of animals there are.

"Alright neko! Let's get to work!" Riley shouted with energy overflowing in his blood.

The two ran maniacally towards their prey while the animals were calmly grazing the grass. As soon as their swords meet the flesh of the animals, the animals ran everywhere while making loud noises, showing their fear.

After killing the animals near him, Riley searched with his two eyes to see on the wide land whether there is any more animals near him. To his surprise, he saw an odd creature within his perimeter. Riley was not familiar with the creature he is looking at. Plus, the creature was a strange one. It had no arms and the color of the creature was green. It made Riley question his eyes first, but after rubbing his eyes to clear out any dust in his eyes that he thought was the cause of the strange vision he's having, it was clear enough that he wasn't imagining things. So with curiosity filling his questioned mind, he asked Rick who was still killing animals at his surroundings.

"Um, Rick! Do you know a creature that for some reasons doesn't have arms and is green?"

"Oh, you mean a creeper?" Rick responded.

"I guess," said Riley as he walks closer to the strange creature.

"Creepers are dangerous monster in this game. They will explode if you give them a hug," explained Rick.

"Oh, so creepers won't go BOOM if you don't hug 'em."

"Correct," answered Rick.

"Uh huh..."

Riley went close to the creeper. He didn't hug the creeper, but he was definitely close to the creeper. Riley started to talk with the creeper as the creeper let out a 'hisss...' and started to erupt slowly.

"So, what's up with that green skin you have there? Oh, you can't talk. That's fine I can't talk too when I was younger. You know, my mom sent me to a place that taught me how to talk. It's called KINDERGARTEN. Ugh, remembering that place makes me shiver to my spine. It was kinda tough there but believe me, things gets even worse when you grow older. Like school and pube-. Hey, why are you getting bigger all of a sudd-"

Suddenly an explosion was heard. It shocked Rick. 'Whoa! Did a creeper just explode? Wait who triggered the creeper?' After thinking for a second he realized. 'Oh no! Did Riley made the creeper explode? I hope he's alright.' thought Rick as he rushed immediately to where Riley was. When he got to Riley, he saw a hole in the ground.

'Where's Riley?' he questioned himself.

After looking here and there, he found Riley lying on the ground. He ran straight towards him and noticed that Riley was injured. Rick started to worry.

"Hey! Stay with me newbie!" shouted Rick, trying to keep Riley conscious.

"O-Oh n-neko."

Rick quickly opened his inventory and took all the apple that he got from chopping the trees earlier. He handed the apples to Riley so that Riley can eat it to recover his health.

"Eat up. You need it," comforted Rick. He took out his sword and kept his eyes on the surroundings to see any danger that could harm his newly made friend. "Don't worry I'll keep ya safe while ya eat that apple."

Riley munched the apples in his hand that he got from Rick. After consuming a couple of apples, he got back to his feet and reached out to Rick who was still standing with his sword out. Rick turned around and quickly checked Riley's condition. He asked a ton of questions before Riley assures him that he is fine after taking those apples he gave him.

"If ya need any help, don't be afraid to tell me, kay?"

"Okay."

"Now how about you stay close to me from now on. Follow me."

The two continued their hunting, but this time by staying close together. Rick doesn't want to let his friend die. They don't know the consequences that they'll face if they die in this game. From that time on, Rick became more cautious about his friend's safety. He kept his eyes wide all the time, looking out for any possible danger that they could end up falling into.

The sun started to fall deeper. Rick and Riley were counting their food in their inventory. They've gotten plenty of food from their hunt earlier.

"I think we got enough food to survive for a couple of days," said Riley.

"Then let's head back to the hut. The sun's starting to fall," suggested Rick.

"Oh neko! D-Do you remember where the hut is," asked Riley after realizing that he forgot where the hut is after all of the incident that happened.

Rick's face turned blue. "Hahahaha, nope."
