Not a fan of school

Chapter 13

It was Friday morning,it was the last day of my period so my cramps were gone,I woke up by 5:15AM quite early today. I did all the house chores since everybody was still sleeping,I took my bath and boiled water for Maya since there wasn't water heater in her room.

When I finished all the chores and taken my bath,it was 6:47AM,I dressed up and went to my mum's room to greet her,she was already awake praying so I just joined her in prayers.

"Good morning,Ma"I greeted as soon we finished prayers.

"My baby,morning to you too,how are your night?"She asked,smiling.

"It was fine,how was yours?"I asked,grinning.

"It was good, I'm very sure,Mason hasn't woken up,so please go and wake up him so that you guys won't go to school late"She stated,walking towards her bathroom."And yes,tell him to feed the dogs after breakfast,he shouldn't forget or else he will collect"She added before entering her bathroom.

I marched upstairs to Mason's room ready to start trouble this morning.

"Mason,wake up"I said shaking him to wake up,he didn't respond."Nero,wake up o lazy head"I yelled,this time he responded.

"Don't disturb me this morning,get out of the room"He replied in a sleepy voice.

This boy is trying me

I walked into his bathroom and filled the bathing bowl with water and marched out,he wasn't still awake.

"You don't want to wake up abi"I smirked,pouring the water aggressively on his body especially his face.

He stood up immediately using his hands to clean his face and staring daggers at me,I gulped,ready to scream my mum's name at any point.

So you are afraid and yet you decided to find trouble

"Come this girl,are you mad?!Why did you pour me water,are you stupid?!,see part of my bed is soaked now because your stupid play!"He barked,glaring at me. I flinched when he yelled at me,I mustered courage to take back at him,after all he is not my father.

"Who are you shouting for?!Your mates have woken up,you are still sleeping,lazy cow,better enter your bathroom and watch that your stinky body,be fast because I don't want to go to school late"I ordered,glaring back at him.

"I can see you are mad, idiot!"He bellowed,pushing me away."It's like you want me to pour water on this your uniform"He ranted.

"Try it,let me see"I folded my arms waiting for him to do something stupid."I don't blame you,it's because all those boys in my class are liking you,that's why you are having mind,you have developed wings,I will soon break them"He fumed,eyeing from head to toe with his long lashes.

"You are just making mouth,before I go,when you finish dressing,Mummy said you should go feed the dogs if you like don't do it,you will go to school with half leg and I know that your head will still not tell you to carry the mattress outside, if you like, leave it here so it can smell,don't carry outside to sun"I hissed and walked out,slamming his door but I could still hear his curses.

"Michelle!Break my door o"My mum screamed from downstairs."Sorry,mummy"I apologized.

We got to school before assembly,it was like a miracle.

"Lucas,please clean the board"Mrs Juliet,our CRS teacher told him since he was tall.

More like the board cleaner for today

"Today's topic is The trial,death and resurrection of Jesus"She stated before writing it on the board.

It was third period already,she was quite fast in dictating,when we had finished the note,I couldn't help but sight my fingers.

"This topic is quite familiar to us,I'm very sure they must have taught in your Sunday school"She said adjusting her glasses.

So? Still explain

"We all know how our Lord Jesus was betrayed,tried and killed"She continued.

Is this how to teach?!

I facepalmed myself out of frustration."Madam,what's the meaning of that?"She inquired in a harsh tone."N-o-thing"I stuttered in a frightful tone.

She's creepy

"Okay,continue from where I stopped"She ordered folding those fat arms.

What did she start that I will have to continue?! This woman sef

I was saved by the bell which made everybody turn to look towards Junior secondary where the bell was ringing from,we all wondered whether the bellringer was okay,it's just third period,I checked my watch,it wasn't even breaktime yet so why the bell?!

We were still lost in curiousity when Jace walked in a blue tracksuit.

He is in blue house?!I thought he was in green before

"Good morning,Ma"He greeted, bowing to greet her,she's advanced so she deserved that sort of greeting."Morning,what do you want?"She asked in a straight face.

"I want to make an announcement"He stated,looking at her for permission."Okay,go on"She gestured."It's time for sports,so please everybody go downstairs after changing into your tracksuits"He announced before leaving.

Sport ke?!

This school is not just alright at all

I rolled my eyes,my classmates we're grinning like idiots,nobody dared to leave the class before Mrs Juliet,so they waited for her to leave first,she shook her head,gave us assignment and left the class.

Within 2 minutes,the class was empty everybody hurried to the dressing room to change,only SS3 was allowed to wear tracksuit, the rest classes were to wear their normal sport's wear.

I was still in class with Olivia and Lucas,not willing to move an inch."Aren't you going for sports?"She inquired looking at me."To do what?"I asked,raising an eyebrow."To do exercise na"She stated the obvious.

"I don't have strength for sports,what have I eaten this morning that I want to go downstairs and start running,screaming at stubborn juniors,I'm not going,I don't want that Mr Jerry to tell me to run,I have to copy that Government note that Mr Sam gave us,I don't want to collect cane"I explained,bringing out government notes to copy.

"Okay o,we will be downstairs"Olivia spoke before leaving."Don't faint before we come back"Lucas added, grinning and walking away to the dressing room.

SS3 weren't actually forced to participate in sports especially when you give them excuse that you are studying so no time for sports,they will just let you be and today was the day to use that opportunity. I was already copying my notes when I heard footsteps coming, I didn't bother to check because I cared less but when those footsteps entered my class I was forced to raise my head,I frowned when I saw who it was.

He walked into the class and stopped at my table,he sat on it with a ball in the grip of his arms.

"Why aren't you downstairs?"He inquired,frowning.

What's with the face?

"I'm busy"I shrugged."With what exactly?"He asked looking around."With my books"I replied,folding my arms and frowning as well. He chuckled what's funny?

"You do know that all work,no play makes Jane a naughty girl right?"He smirked.

"Jace,you are wrong and I don't have strength for sports,please leave me alone"I replied,picked up my pen and continued copying my notes.

"I'm not leaving,you need to obey me,change into your tracksuits and go downstairs now"He ordered."It's that an order and why should I obey you?"I asked in an angry tone.

"It's a command and as the sport prefect,you need to obey me"He smirked.

I feel like slapping that smirk off his cute face

"No,I'm not going and I'm not your assistant so I see no reason why I should be downstairs"I pointed out,glaring at him.

"Sports is important,so you are going"He stated."Kamsi,please leave me alone,I don't have strength for sports,I'm weak"I murmured.

Yes,Kamsiyochukwu was his native name,his mum is igbo,I hardly call him that except I'm pissed off.

"You don't have strength,why?!It's not like you are still on your period"He folded his arm."Since when did you turn to my boyfriend that you care so much"I frowned.

"I don't have time for bickering,let's go"He stated before standing up and carrying me on his shoulders.

"Put me down,right now!"I ordered as I hit his back.

"If you don't agree to go downstairs,I will carry forcefully downstairs and juniors are going to see you like this"He threatened.

"Okay fine,put me down,I will go downstairs"I sighed.

"Wait here,let me go and change"I added.

"Why can't you change here, something that I have already seen"He smirked. I gasped when he said that,I immediately used my tracksuit to whip him which made him into hearty laughter,I rolled my eyes and walked away.

Silly boy

I changed quickly and went back to him,he was copying my government note for me,I was surprised,I didn't know when a smile appeared on my face.

"Mr Do Good,this one you are copying my notes,don't copy rubbish since you are not an art student"I joked,grinning the whole time.

He looked up to me checking me out,"You have forgotten that I did Government in SS1,I'm smart enough to know where you stopped"He smiled."And look who's looking like my assistant"He smirked,before keeping my notes in my bag and walking towards me.

"I'm not your assistant and I thought you were in Green house,why did you change?"I asked as we walked out of the class."Well,I decided to move to the winning house,I didn't want to be a loser"He stated.

We were on our way downstairs when a junior ran towards, panting.

"Are you okay? Who's pursuing you?"I asked very concerned."Young man,what are you doing upstairs?! Aren't you supposed to be downstairs with the others?!"Jace inquired in a very strict tone.

Prefect mode activated *

"Se-ni..or,Mr Je-r..ry is calling you"The boy explained still catching his breath.

"So that's why you are breathing heavily,are you asthmatic?"Jace asked with a frown."No,senior"He replied,standing upright.

"Good thing,you are in blue house,you will run 100m,now go and meet the others and tell Mr Jerry that I'm coming"He ordered, dismissing him.

"Prefect!Prefect!"I hailed him."As if,you aren't one"He said eyeing me.

"Let's go before they will think we are making out,you know all these teachers can think rubbish when they see boy and girl alone"I stated,dragging him.

"Speaking of making out"He smirked,pushing and pinning me to the wall.

"Jace,I swear,if you try rubbish with me here,I will kick you where the sun doesn't shine"I threatened and with that,he let me go.

We got downstairs,we were walking to join our classmates when a junior ran from nowhere and hit me with force,I almost fell if not Jace who caught me quickly and supported me to stand straight.

"Are you blind?!Can't you see?!"Jace yelled in an angry tone."So..rry se..nior"The junior apologized immediately stuttering.

"Sorry for yourself,go down on your knees now"Jace ordered and immediately the boy went down.

Poor boy

"Jace just let him be,he wasn't watching when he hit me"I appealed."That's not my business,next time he will keep his eyes at the front"He frowned.

"Stand up"I gestured with my hands to the junior. He stood up rubbing his knees,"Is like you want to receive beating,my friend go down on your knees before I slap sense into your head,was she the one who punished you?!You will stay for 20minutes"Jace ordered,glaring at the poor boy.

He flinched and went back on his knees,I couldn't do anything,I just gave him a pitiful look,Jace walked away and I followed,I turned back to signal the boy to stand up and he smiled,thanking me.

Good thing Jace didn't turn

"Where have you been?"Mr Jerry asked,when we got to him."Upstairs fetching defaulters"Jace replied.

More like pestering my life

"Okay then,Michelle,aren't you going to exercise?"Mr Jerry asked looking towards me."No thanks, I'm not strong "I lied.

He later left to meet other teachers and control students,leaving me with Jace. I was about to leave to go sit somewhere when Jace dragged me back

What now?!

"Where are you going?"He inquired."I need to rest,the baby is kicking"I replied touching my stomach,making him shake his head and chuckle.

"Don't go,I want you by my side"He pouted.

"As what?!What happened to your assistant?"I asked feigning annoyance.

"She is in another house and besides we are the only SS3 here"He replied,looking around.

I looked around too, searching for my classmates that were in my house,I sighted Leo,Kim,Kevin,Chisom and some others,I smirked immediately I spotted them.

"You are wrong,look over there"I said,turning his head towards their direction."I can't see them"He replied,as if he was blind. I rolled my eyes and signaled them to come over,they were on their way when I saw a girl and a boy playing Tag but it was more like a romantic one

They ran towards us with the boy pursuing the girl,she giggled,seemed she was enjoying the play.

"Hey you,come here!"Jace ordered.

"The energy you will use to run for your house,you are using it to play love,you think you are acting Indian film abi?!Go and join the others "Jace frowned,he didn't use a harsh tone.

"Take it easy on the juniors,this your iron hand is too much"I appealed."This is my territory so don't tell me what to do"He glared.

After that,I kept quiet for awhile,ignoring all his speeches,don't tell me what to do mtchwww

"What is it?!"I frowned."I'm sorry,I overreacted,please forgive me"He begged.

"Well,since you brought me against my wish and spoke rudely to me as if I was your junior,you have to bribe me"I requested, grinning.

"Okay,fine"

"What are you doing?!"I asked,raising my brow."Sending a junior to get you something?"He replied in a confused state.

"I don't want this school's horrible food,I want you to get me Chocolate icecream from Ultimate today"I smirked.

He agreed to do it after rolling his eyes and signalling the junior to nevermind,he didn't seem interested in sports today unlike before,all he did was to order juniors.

Maybe he wasn't interested because you are with him

Maybe, because the Jace I know would be playing football by now.

"Who organized sports when Inter-house sport isn't this term and why aren't you participating?"I asked out of curiosity.

"You wanna hear a secret?"He whispered into my eyes. I nodded,"I did"He smirked.

"Huh?I don't get"

"I convinced Principal that we should organize sports once in awhile before 2nd term,it's good to exercise once in awhile"I whispered yelled.

"Why?!"

"Let's just say,I wanted to ditch Physics class"He smirked. My mouth opened slightly and my eyes widened

"So you made the whole school do sports because you wanted to ditch Physics class!"I whispered yelled,looking around."Well,most students are enjoying it so there's not nothing bad there"He defended.

"Why would you want to ditch Physics class,I thought you are one of the best students in Physics"I stated, with my hands on my hips.

"The best student in Physics"He corrected with a grin on his face."Just because I'm the best doesn't mean I like or enjoy the class,my brain usually hurts in that class so I decided to take a break"He explained.

"You are so ev-il!"I squeaked."Genius"He winked.

I rolled my eyes and faced the other side and saw Olivia coming."Hey you"I greeted."Mrs Walker,why are you standing here looking pretty?"She smirked,wiggling her eyebrows.

Jace who was talking to a junior about ringing the bell for Sports Over turned slowly to us and smirked and gave me that the name suits you kind of look,I groaned and walked back to class,making them chuckle.
