Get Away

After lunch Eden and Elise, after spending a few minutes convincing Esme to stay behind headed out of the door. Brian walked them both over to the minivan.

"Don't let her tell you too many embarrassing stories about my past," Brian said with a small smile as he pulled open the passenger door of the van.

Elise laughed softly reaching up to press her lips to his. "Promise."

"Have fun shopping."

"I always do. See you later."

Brian nodded watching them pull out of the driveway before he returned to the house. Pouring himself a scotch before he headed out to join his brother on the back deck. Watching the kids build a rather spectacular beach village.

"You seem apprehensive about letting Eden and Elise go shopping alone together," Ian said leaning back in his sunbed.

Brian shrugged pushing his sunglasses onto his face. "I just am not sure she is ready to hear all about my questionable past just yet."

"Don't worry the last thing either of us wants to do is scare her off."
