Kim the Cat

"You fucking piece of shit!" Kim howled with rage at the small illusionary screen in front of his face.

Waving his right paw, Kim tried to get rid of the screen bothering him, but no matter what he did, it remained, pissing him off further.

Kim was a cat with a mix of brown and white fur, his eyes were golden and size was a little bit bigger compared to other cats of his age.

"Get the hell out of here!" Ignoring the words he couldn't understand, Kim chased the system and slapped it repeatedly with his paws, eventually kicking it outside his owner's house. However, he didn't stop there and followed the intruder, who kept a fixed distance from him no matter how much he increased his speed.

Watching the previous line of words disappear, Kim thought he had achieved victory until another line started rolling in before his eyes, driving him insane. As the words changed once more, Kim's frustration hit the ceiling.

"What the hell? What does that even mean?" Watching a new screen appear in front of him with more text, Kim screamed as hard as he could, but all that came out was one miserable howl.

"Whatever, I give up." Following the system's mysterious words, which echoed inside his ears, Kim fell to the side of the road, drowning in pain as the system forcibly altered his physique to balance his stats. Suddenly, another terrifying sound entered his ears as a drunk driver hit him, killing him and separating his soul from his body.

Unconscious, Kim's soul flew across the horizon before piercing the ozone, causing atmospheric instability as he unknowingly brought the apocalypse to Earth. Thunderstorms struck the world, forests caught fire, and earthquakes hit cities, causing a global catastrophe. Interdimensional gates split open, and monsters invaded from the void, causing civilization to collapse.

Thankfully, humans had deep potential within them and managed to absorb mana from the atmosphere, awakening something known as classes before proceeding to save the world. Unfortunately, Kim was not there to witness the chaos happening around the world as he found himself among some others who seemed to be humans.

"Such a beautiful woman, this must be the goddess!"

"Am I going to reincarnate and erase my regrets finally?"

"Oh beautiful goddess, do we get a golden finger when we reincarnate?"

"Yes, that must be it! Otherwise, why would we be in this place?"

Hearing the humans shouting in excitement, Kim was able to understand them somehow, which surprised him since he was never able to understand his owner. Looking at where these guys were facing, Kim saw a beautiful woman standing in revealing clothes in front of them. However, this was followed by the system's annoying sound once again.

"Wow, such an amusing creature! Little one, do you wish to be the one to take on the mission of saving this fallen world?" Impressed by the fact that Kim's soul was composed of eight segments, the goddess ignored the rest and focused her attention on him.

"What the hell are you?" Witnessing the true form of the creature, Kim shivered from fright, taking a defensive stance, bringing his claws out and crouching while raising his back. The creature towered, surpassing the size it had as a woman.

Two large arms, ending with claws extended from its sides while its body was laid was set of red eyes, too many for Kim to count. The hair it had in disguise was replaced with tentacles that floated freely as they wished, each ending with a spike, resampling a dagger. Following his actions, the system's notification appeared in front of him once again.

"What are you scared of, young one?" Smelling the fear coming from Kim, the goddess closed in, unaware that her disguise was pointless to Kim.

"Stay the fuck away!" Watching the ugly creature close in, Kim muttered with a threatening hiss. However, the goddess couldn't understand him and kept closing in further.

"It's just a cat, goddess! But what is a cat doing here?!"

"Do cats get to reincarnate as well?"

"Why is this guy aggressive? Is there anything scary here?"

"Why don't you ask him? If it can answer, haha!"

Keeping his attention on the closing-in creature, Kim sprang forward, aiming for its ugly face. Although his claws caused nearly no damage, the creature felt the burning scratch on its face, which enraged it, causing it to break its character alongside its disguise, which it used to fool the idiots standing before it.

Following the system messages which he could understand now, the creature swung its claws, tearing the poor souls around it. This action triggered the system notification, which confused Kim further.

Annoyed by the repeated messages rolling in front of his face, Kim found himself caught by the creature, which immediately slammed him into the ground before tearing him into two pieces.
