CHAPTER:10

                           "A REUNION"

       vindy was standing outside. her phone rang. "wow! after a long time." vindy picked up. "hey! i gathered alot of strength to call. i am missing you. i am so sorry. please come and meet me." said billy on the call. "huh maybe Veronica's not giving you enough attention these days?!" vindy replied. "i told one thousand times that it's over. we are not in touch. i just want you on my side right now" billy told. "ehm but i can't come. lisa is in the hospital. she got nervous breakdown. she is not okay. she wants me here more than anyone right now" said vindy. "ohh i understand. i hope she will get recover fast. but can you please come tomorrow when possible?" asked billy. "i will see. i don't promise. bye!" said vindy and cut. marry came and told vindy that she was leaving. leny was sleeping on the bench in the corridor.

       officer john dropped marry to her house. when marry was getting off the car, she said "i will come office tomorrow after visiting lisa. we will start our investigation. i will also meet chief tomorrow. we should do this as soon as possible." officer john nodded and left.

      early in the morning vindy left the hospital when leny woke up. she was going to billy's house. she knocked the door. billy opened the door and hugged her instantly. "what was it?" questioned vindy. "come inside" said billy. vindy entered the house. she started staring at everything. "i spent the large part of my life in this house and now huh...!" vindy mentioned. "then come back. can't you forgive me?" asked billy. "it's not possible now. once your trust broke, it never comes back. and it's of no use because i think soon i am going far away." said vindy. "what? where are you going?" questioned billy. "you will know. i played enough. it's time to rest and give break to my brain" said vindy. "i don't understand. what are you saying? what played? rest from what?" asked billy. "i know you are curious. but soon this curiosity will over. the time of revelation is near" vindy mentioned. "are you okay? i think you are upset about lisa's accident!" said billy. "i dont deserve to be upset either" said vindy and wiped her eye. "it will be okay. you are brave. you can handle this" billy comforted her. "thanks but i should leave now and one thing more. i am filling a divorce. my lawyer will talk to you. bye!" said vindy. "wait! what? are you serious?" asked billy. "it has to end now billy. i spent a good time with you. i hope you will stay happy in future." replied vindy and hugged him.

     marry went to meet the chief. she showed him the video and the file which officer john showed her. "so what do you suspect?" asked chief. "it's all clear now but i have to meet Veronica first. i will go there today" said marry. "okay do this and please hurry up. we have to finish this case and it will be good for your job. maybe you will get promoted." told chief. "it's more than my job now. i have to do this for me." said marry. "good work! see you later" greeted chief and left the office.

       vindy came back to the hospital. she talked to the doctor. doctor told her that lisa will be discharged in two days but she had to come from time to time for the checkup. vindy was standing there staring lisa sleeping. "how is she?" questioned leny to vindy. "doctor said she is okay and she will Discharge in two days" mentioned vindy. "that's a good news." said leny. "leny i think marry knows now" mentioned vindy. "huh? how do you say that?" questioned leny. "i just know." said vindy. "so what will we do? what's the plan?" asked leny in desperation. "there is no plan...! it's finished." told vindy. leny was staring at her as he saw a ghost.

      marry visited Veronica's house but she was not there. marry called officer john. "hello. track her down" said marry. after few minutes officer texted her the location. she followed it and reached the bar. she entered the bar and searched for her. "Veronica!" said marry. "ohhh marry. what a nice surprise?" said Veronica sitting on the counter. "hey marry! i heard about you" said Michael. "ohh so you work here?" asked marry to Michael. "yes and she is always here for free drinks" said Michael pointing towards Veronica. "um Veronica can we talk? in private!" said marry to Veronica. "okay sure. lets go to the restaurant nearby" mentioned Veronica. "bye Michael" greeted marry and they both left.

          Veronica and marry were sitting in the restaurant. "let me show you something first." said marry. she showed her the file. Veronica opened the file and the colours of her face fainted. she was just staring at the file continuously. "so do you have anything to say about this?" questioned marry. "how? how did you get this? howww? asked veronica hesitating. "someone sent this via email. it's you and leny in the picture. right?" questioned marry. "i Don't know about this. it's photoshop" said Veronica. "uhu! why anyone photoshop you and leny in which he is holding a gun standing next to adam's body. what's the benefit in that?" marry argued. "who sent this?" asked veronica. "the email is unknown. we searched but it doesn't belong to anyone." said marry. "i did nothing." Veronica said staggered. "every suspect says this. you know according to the evidence i can arrest you now but i want to hear first. now it's your choice." said marry. "i want a day then i will come to you by myself and tell you everything. it's a promise" said Veronica. "how can i trust you?" asked marry. "you have to." said Veronica. "fine but you are not allowed to leave your house and my men will guard it for 24 hours. so you okay?" questioned marry. "okay!" Veronica agreed.
