CHAPTER 11
Madison's POV
"How's the preparation going, Mary?"
"Everything is almost ready. I set out all the invitations yesterday."
"Okay. I'll meet you at the party and don't forget to bring a date with you." I teased her.
"Really boss?" She asked, sounding shy at her end.
"Of course. You can also invite friends as well, I don't have a problem at all."
"Thank you boss."
"You're welcome. Bye." I answered and dropped the call.
I got up from my bed and headed downstairs to greet my parents but saw the maids setting breakfast in the dining room.
"Good morning Miss Madison." They choired.
"Good morning. What are we having for breakfast today?" I asked with a smile.
Every worker in this mansion has gotten so close to me and my parents that we all take them as family.
"Pasta, meatballs and claw salad., Miss Madison. Madam instructed us to make it." Dora, an assistant to the head maid with full skin and a black curly short hair answered.
"That's perfect. I can smell the aroma right from my bedroom." I uttered jokingly as we all laughed.
"What's going on here with the laughter?" We heard my dad inquired, walking towards us with mum.
"Good morning sir and madam." The maids choired to them with their heads bowed.
"Good morning." They both replied together.
"Good morning parents."
Morning princess." Dad replied, giving me a peck on the cheek as well as mum.
"Is the breakfast ready, Dora?" Mum requested.
"Yes madam. I was about to inform you when Miss Madison showed up."
"Okay, thanks darling." Mum replied with a short pause and added, "shall we settle down for breakfast?"
"Okay mum." I responded and we did as the maids began dishing out the meal.
"Uhh... sweetheart, I got the present like I said to congratulate you on your great achievement." Dad uttered, out of the blue, shocking me.
"How sweet of you dad, so where is it?"
"Not so fast, princess. You can only receive it once the party is over but your mum got hers which will be given to you now."
"Come on dad." I mouthed and turned to mum, "Mum, what did you get me?"
"Calm down a bit darling. I got you something special and lovely. It's already in your room, you can go check it out after having your breakfast." She emphasised.
"No problem, mum. Thank you so much. You both are the best parents anyone will ever wish for."
"You're the best daughter ever." Dad uttered.
"And will always be our priceless gem." Mum added and we all laughed.
"That's enough ladies, let's have our breakfast or it will get cold." Dad said between laughter and we proceeded to eat quietly.
After having breakfast, I head to my room to check out the present mum said she got for me.
I walked into the room but couldn't catch a glimpse of the present anywhere but I saw a card on the bed and picked it up to find out what's written on it.
"You're such a special and unique sweetie and I'm so lucky to have you as my one and only baby. Congratulations on your great achievement. Check your wardrobe for the present. Love from your lovely mum." I read out aloud and smiled.
She wrote all this just for me? She's really sweet and the best ever. Let me check out the present first before going to give her a passionate hug.
I walked to my wardrobe and opened it to see a big white box wrapped with a blue ribbon, a separate shopping bag and a card again on the box.
I opened the card and read the words on it. "Congratulations once more angel. I hope you love the present. Love from mum."
I must say, this is one of the best presents ever. I am sure dad's own is going to be special as well.
I picked all the items and headed to my bed to check them out.
"I hope it is what i'm thinking it is." I thought and released the ribbon carefully and opened the box to come in contact with a beautiful blue strapless glittering ball dress.
"Oh my!" I exclaimed with wild eyes and pulled out the dress from the box to see it was long with fine cutting from the knees below and different kinds of flower designs on it.
I love the dress so much. There's no doubt it's going to fit perfectly on me and looks dashing on me. She really knows my taste of dressing.
I checked out the shopping bag after admiring the dress for a long time which contained a black stiletto heel and a black porch purse to fit with the dress.
"Awwwn... I love you mum." I bemoaned being unable to control my joy.
I'll try out the dress much later before the party but first, I must go and see mum and give her a sweet hug for the special present.
"It is simply the best I could ever ask for." I uttered to myself and rushed downstairs.
"Mum, where are you?"
"I'm over here, honey." She responded from the garden.
"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you so much mum. I love the present so much." I rushed up to her with a warm hug.
"I'm so glad you love it." She replied and hugged me back.
~PARTY~
"You're looking like a spectacular princess." Dad praised me.
"Thanks dad. I wouldn't be this beautiful if mum didn't get me this dress and had the makeover artist work on my looks."
"Then I guess, all the credits goes to her. Thank you sweetheart."
"You both are making me so emotional right now." She squirted.
"That's because you deserve all the cheers, mum."
"Thanks baby. I love you so much and will do anything for you."
"I love you too much."
"That's all right ladies, we have got a party to attend."
"Yes honey. Maddy, let's proceed." Mum uttered, helping me out with the dress as it was flaunting on the floor.

"It's your party sweetie, you don't have to let anything ruin it for you."
"Sure dad." I replied as we all got down from the car. The minutes we came down, clicks and flashes of light were being taken by the press.
I should have known the press would always turn up and as usual, we were heavily guided by our bodyguards.
"Shall I walk you down, princess?"
"Yes dad but with mum too."
"Of course, shall I walk you ladies to the party?" He inquired, like a gentleman.
"Yes sir." Mum and I responded coincidently and smiled at each other.
We made our way to the door as everyone's graze was all on us.
"You can see the Williams are rocking it tonight." Mum whispered and we chuckled.
"Our family is the best, don't you ladies agree to it?"
"We do. The Williams are the rarest and the best." I stated proudly with a smile as we walked in elegantly with everyone's unending stare.
We untangled hands as dad proceeded to greet his friends and old time business partners leaving mum and I behind.
"Sweetie, I want to go see some of my friends as well but I'll be back shortly. I hope you won't be bored all by yourself?"
"Nah, I'm cool. Go chill out with them."
"Okay love." She said and gave me a light peck on the cheek and walked away.
I was all alone looking to see if the C.E.O of Clinton Corporation, Mark Clinton showed up when Mary showed up looking so beautiful.
"Good evening Miss Madison! You're looking spontaneously gorgeous and sexy." She said, drawing the word, 'sexy'.
"Thanks Mary. You ain't looking bad yourself. What's the secret?"
"Thank you boss. My best friend, who's my date, got the dress for me." She uttered, blushing.
"I see, where is he?" I asked, with a grin.
There's so much she's going to tell me between her and her best friend. She has a long time crush on him but she was scared to tell him even at this moment. She doesn't have the courage to tell him thinking he will reject her but I don't think he will do that to her.
"He went out to pick up a call but will be back shortly so I'll introduce him to you."
"Okay. Have you seen Mr Clinton?"
"Yes, he arrived not quite long and I must say, he was looking super hot."
"Not that Mary. I want to know where he is."
"He was here before you arrived but I'm sure he's still around. I'll show him to you once I set eyes on him."
"No problem, so how's the party going?" I enquired as she began to tell me about her encounter with Mr Clinton.
I just hope he isn't such a rude man who feels he has everything in the world because it is going to be a little tough for me working with someone like that.
