15 Namu's Settlement (2)

"Come here!" Mu Qing Lang shouts as he chased an escaping rabbit.

The rabbit carries few similar characteristics, except the ears is shorter compared to the domesticated rabbits in his previous world. Additionally, there's a horn sticking out from the forehead.

"My chance is here!" Mu Qing Lang grabbed a piece of rock near him before throwing it at the rabbit. As the rabbit is not faster than a flying rock, it hits the rabbit between the front and back legs.

That attack throws the rabbit rolling on the ground and collapsed. This chance was then taken by Mu Qing Lang as he grabbed the animal and tied it with the bundle of rope made from the straws.

Tied up on both front and back, the rabbit can only struggle without bearing any results. With the rabbit strapped at the side of the carriage, Mu Qing Lang continued to collect the useful materials to be used later.

At the same time as yesterday evening, Mu Qing Lang returned to the camp. Most of the goblins had taken their dinner and half asleep. Only a few, such as Luoli, Luoyi, and Ka-Ba remain awake and having their fun taking by the bonfire.

Mu Qing Lang approached them and talked with them. After greeting their lord, the trio started to share with Mu Qing Lang about everything, from how the goblin tripped and fell into the water, or how Qing Yi is seducing Ka-Ba for his seeds.

Of course, other than gossip, they gave him a few constructive comments as well. One of the comments stated their current unprotected situation. From an overall evaluation, they're nothing better than a group of sitting ducks.

But at the same time, their situation is understandable, due to the lack of not only wood but metal and other resources. Stones can be made into a weapon, but they're nowhere stronger than a durable metal or a light wooden javelin.

Their comment made Mu Qing Lang considered the option of exchanging some pills and ointment into resources. The exchange rate might not be beneficial for him as the one that asked, but it's better than losing everything he has.

After asking the trio for things like weapon they'll need, Mu Qing Lang appointed Luoli to represents him in the exchange. Because Ka-Ba has no other responsibility, he's chosen to help Luoli to move the exchanged material back to their camp.

But then, Luoyi barge into their conversation and insisted that she followed them back, under the pretense to visit their family. Her way of speaking making it funnier, because the trio is only here for two days.

Although it was somewhat troublesome, Mu Qing Lang agreed to let the trio return to the Ka-Ruo Settlement to exchange a few materials back to their camp. As for the choice of material, Luoli will be in charge of everything entirely.

At night, he went to the Inventory Table first, in case there's anything new in his record related to this Chang Emperor Prairie. From what he remembered, Ka-Ruo told him before about the Chang Emperor Prairie and the biomes surrounding it.

With the Chang Emperor Prairie as the center, up above the prairie is the Hundred Beast Forest. On the left is Yan Emperor Grassland, where the Ka-Ruo Settlement is based on their border. Right of the Prairie is where Yulan Mountain Sea is located. On their south is Deadly Desert, ownerless and desolate.

With the record of the useless plants in the Chang Emperor Prairie 5/6 done, it won't be long before he found the sixth plant. Other than that, Mu Qing Lang gathered another total of 100+ kilograms of stones, making the supply available in their camp about 200kg.

Other than the two plants, Mu Qing Lang also increases the total of Amber Root in his chest to 60 units including 10 from the harvest this morning. With the 1,000 stalks of Xian-Ren Grass in his chest, it should be fine for him to start stocking up the materials.

Talking about the Prairie Horn Rabbit, the one Mu Qing Lang caught seems to be a female rabbit. And at the same time, it was pregnant with an estimation of three to four baby bunnies. As there was a few Iron Tail Grass around the camp, Mu Qing Lang allowed Qing Yi to take care of the animal, and also look for a way to increase their numbers.

With nothing else to do, Mu Qing Lang pops one of the Small Xian Pill and Xian-Qin Pill before he went to his bed.

Day thirteen.

It was a busy day in the morning. Because their harvest for today reaches 1,000 Xian-Ren Grass Plants, it took twice of the time to complete before replants a thousand seeds again for the next produce.

At the same time, Xiao Qing comes back from the area with Prairie Herbal-Cress and bring back 4.8kg of the product. Two other goblins also come back from the Amber Root area and brought back 100 of them, making his chest holding 160 units of Amber Roots.

After the early morning harvest and farming, Mu Qing Lang looks for the trio before he prepared a finer straw sack to carry the exchange ingredient back to the human settlement. Inside the sac is 50 bottles of Recovery Ointment, 20 pellets of Xian-Qin Pill, and 10 pellets of Small Xian Pill.

Altogether, it should be able to exchange for more than required.

He personally sent the trio past two open areas before he returned to the camp. Along the way, Mu Qing Lang collected the stones and any Amber Roots he found along his way.

[GUA!]

Suddenly, a goblin with wounds all over its body came out from the long grasses and tried to hit Mu Qing Lang! But the wounded body is far too weak to land an attack on a healthy individual.

With a quick sidestep, Mu Qing Lang dodges the attack and retaliates with a kick. The attack throws the goblin three to four steps away, with some blood smeared on the ground.

As he takes this attack seriously, Mu Qing Lang stopped himself from moving closer to the wounded goblin. His first aim is to make sure no other enemies hiding nearby before he disarms the attacker. And to make sure of that, Mu Qing Lang attacks his surrounding by throwing the stones he gathered.

Only after a few minutes of no reaction, he moved closer to the goblin. He delivered a kick to the hand holding the stone, before tying up the goblin's wrists together and takes the enemy back to his camp.

Xiao Qing and Qing Yi came to interrogate the goblin, only to know that the goblin village above them is destroyed by the human from Namu's Settlement. The human wore leather armor made from wild boars and fought with copper daggers.

The story-telling becomes worst by every sentence spoken by the wounded goblin. It seems that except this guy and another female companion, everyone was taken away to become slaves for Namu's Settlement.

This settlement is known as one of the three worlds. Other than Namu, the berserker is Wuhan, the wolf king, and Yelu-En, the Fire Dragon. The three of them separates the Chang Emperor Prairie into four sections, with the last one as a free to plunder zone.

Coincidently, this area is where Mu Qing Lang's camp is located.

Few tribes, including the Ashen Wolves and Prairie Goblins, chose to migrate to this area out of the warzone executed by the three settlements. But from this attack, it seems that the Namu Settlement is aiming to control this section as well because they're located just slightly further to the north.

"Qing Yi, ask him how did he escape from the hand of Namu's Settlement?" It was heartbreaking to listen to what happened earlier, but most importantly, how did this fellow escape from them? If he turned out to be the bait from Namu's Settlement, won't this goblin's existence destroy their camp?

"My master, he said their group is attacked by the Ashen Wolves when coming into the area, and he was dragged to the Wolves Den along with a Female Goblin."

"They're taking the chances when the wolves are asleep to escape." Qing Yi translates the words one by one to Mu Qing Lang, who started to change his expression from suspicious to horror.

"Xiao Qing! Order everyone back to the camp! We've become the target for the Ashen Wolves!" Mu Qing Lang ordered and left the straw hut. The copper knife in his hand reflected the sunlight as he moves, and few Ashen Wolves already can be seen near the barricades.

"AOUUUU!!!"
