Chapter 5: Tactical retreat

(Third Person POV).

Musutafu Japan

Hospital

07h00 am

Within the hallway three figures could be seen, one woman and Three men, the 17 year old woman being the rabbit hero Mirko, another was a tall, lean-but-muscular man with rather sharp and elongated features. His shiny hair was worn smoothed down and parted to his left, and was of a dark green color, with three yellow streaks towards the front, two on his right, and one on his left. His eyebrows were also yellowish, matching the rims of the triangular glasses he wore and the strikingly bright-yellow irises of his stern-looking eyes. His looks gave off a sense of authority and power, as he looks stern, and he appeared to be glaring, he was wearing a plain white suit with gold buttons, a white dress shirt, and a red tie with white dots. The second is an extremely short, elderly man with heavy wrinkles and a scrawny built. He has a light complexion and yellow eyes. His hair is grey and spikey, styled short with some bangs hanging forward and a trimmed beard, His hero costume consists of a full-body monochrome suit along with a yellow cape, a belt with the letter "G" on it, very thick yellow gloves and boots, and a dark domino mask which resembles two diamonds. The last man is a very large man with an equally-muscular and well-defined physique, he resembles a typical western comic book superhero. He has chiseled features on his face with a strong jawline and pronounced cheekbones, and busy eyebrows. He has short blond hair, swept backwards, with two distinct tufts that stick up above his head, leaning slightly to each side. His strong features would occasionally casts a dark shadow over his face, hiding everything but his bright blue eyes. His hero costume consisted of a skin-tight blue bodysuit decorated with a red symbol that somewhat resembles a "Y," designed with a white diamond at its center, with white lines connected to it that trace from his chest to his back shoulders; the lines trimmed with the aforementioned red symbol. The symbol appeared to have wings on the side that ran from the atop his torso before ending around his back, over which was a similar red and white design absent of the white diamond. Large white patches lined with red-covered each side of his hips before ending at his lower thighs, and he wore a gold belt that had a silver buckle with red eyes. His forearm sleeves were colored in gold that each had white lines covered in blue accents over his wrists, and had spiked fins on the sides of his arms, his feet were covered in shin-length gold boots trimmed with white and red accents.

"I think that boy is the one who released that killing intent last night." Mirko said. "But he's just a child, probably not even 7 yet" the man with glasses said. "I know what I felt, I wouldn't mistake that aura." Mirko replied. "If this child really did give off that killing intent, than I could only begin to imagine how many lives would he have had to take to aquire it." said the old man with a sullen face. "Lets not jump to comclutions he's just a boy, there must be a explanation." the muscular man exclaimed. "You're right, how would a child even be capable of such a thing, even if he was, we would know about it as such a case wouldn't be possible to hide." deduced the man with glasses. "Why don't you use your quirk to check his future, Nighteye." suggested the old man. "Okay." replied night eye.

(Nighteye POV)

Entering the room, I saw a young boy laying on the bed, he had raven black hair, due to his childish features he could only be discribed as adorable. I reached out to open the kids eye so I could use my quirk, but before I could I heard the young rabbit girls words, "be careful, every time I tried to touch him my instincts kept warning against it". Nodding to her words, I extended my hand once again but this time I was on high alert, ready for anything that might happen, but my eyes locked onto his and I activated 'foresight'.

I was in a forest, looking around I was cause before me was a giant skeletal snake, it was like a snake's vertebral column that had pick-like protrusions sticking out of the fragments, It had a snake-like head about the size of a small car. My vision following along its length, it was then that I saw him, holding onto its tail, he was clothed in a fur cowl around his neck. The cowl appears to be the fur of an ape, and the ape's skull can be seen over the boys left shoulder, while the rest of the fur extends to cover his right arm. He looked to be only 10 years old. However just when I laid eyes on him it was as if he sensed my gaze immediately, swinging his arm holding the creatures tail, at a mind boggling speed the giant serpent moved attempting to swallow me whole, my instincts screamed at me, and I knew if this thing got me I would be dead.

(Mirko POV)

After warning Nighteye we watched him touch the boy and activate his quirk his yellow pupils turning purple. As we waited for him to finish I couldn't help but wonder if the child truly had killed as many as we think. I was snapped out of my thoughts by Nighteye jumping back as fast as he could panting heavily, for the first time ever, I saw a different expression on his face, rather than his ever present glare, what was present now was fear.

After listening to Nighteye's recount of what happened I couldn't help but take another look at the young boy, "Alright for now we need to find out everything we can about the boy. The doctor said that he is in a comatose state and that it was undetermined when he will regain consciousness. Well wait for him to wake up and call nezu to discuss what to do with the boy." said the muscular man. "We can check up on him periodically until he wakes up" Nighteye said. Agreeing we left to go find out about the child's identity.

(MC POV)

Waking up I saw a purple eye staring directly into mine, but almost immediately the person jumped back seemingly startled by something, realizing that my conscious state wasn't noticed I continued to steady my breath relax my muscles and closed my eyes. Listening to the man recall what he saw I immediately understood. It seems that was Nighteye the weilder of the quirk Foresight. I also noticed that my hearing had been enhanced, in fact it wasn't just my hearing but seemingly all my senses had been enhanced. Shortly after I felt a gaze focus on me, 'Did she notice im awake' soon the gaze retreated, and a wave of relief swept through my body. Listening to what they had planned, I decided then and there, I would take the first chance I got to make like a tree, and leave. While waiting for my chance, I decided to ask the system why my senses were so sharp. The answer I got left me quite pleasantly surprised.

I wanted to jump up and celebrate, but I couldn't risk someone finding out I'm awake. Waiting a few hours for the hospital to get busy, my chance came right before mid day.

I jumped out of bed and pulled the fire alarm that was located at the corner of my room, alarms started blaring all over the hospital and the chaos commenced. Walking out of my room I jumped right into the madness happening, my time was limited as when heroes arrived order would be returned shortly after. Walking through the crowd I spotted a man's jacket carelessly thrown aside and I took it and put it on without hesitation, it was luckily a small sized one, although it was still to big for me, it was at the very least not to cumbersome to wear, I jumped up and stole a man's fedora right off his head, afterwards using the chaos as cover I effortlessly got away, I went on pick pocketing a few wallets here and there before completely relieving them of all notes. Stopping at a certain wall that had a map plastered on it, I quickly memorized the layout of the building, and quickly made my way to the emergency back door, borrowing more wallets along the way. I managed to reach the back emergency exit, and to my joy the place was empty it seems all rushed towards the main entrance. Well then again considering the situation few would have the patients to study the map of the hospitals layout. With the gathering of spectators and hero's, around the main entrance, I came out the back without issues and dissapeard into the sea of people that were in the busy streets.
