#Chapter 43 Crushes and more
Malcom - third
Malcom was careful not to intrude on Patara. Her mother let him know that she was in a healing process and would love to see him when she felt better. It was hard to keep away all these months, but he knew that she was worth it. He would wait a lifetime just to see her smile again.
He hadn’t stopped thinking about her since the day he left her with her family. Her wide, terrified eyes and trembling form stained itself on his mind and wouldn’t leave him. It took everything in him not to wrap his arms around her and tell her it was all going to be okay.
It was concern and worry for her well-being—yes, but it was also something more. Something that he tried to ignore and forget about—but he never could.
