#Chapter 23 A war that brewed
Dylan - Third
It called to him even when he wasn’t near it. If it wasn’t for Patara, he would be there now. The constant pull and push of the war hummed through his blood and made him anxious to know what was to come. His mind shouldn’t be hung on the girl that looked at him like a monster when he had bigger things to worry about.
But it was. He thought of her every minute of the day—even when he knew she didn’t want him to. His regret for their night must have been nothing compared to the shame she must have felt. He let his desires take over his mind and control his actions when he knew he should have kept them inside like he planned to.
Dylan was well aware of the desire she would feel when he put that mark on her. He knew she would have rubbed against him all night if he didn’t give her what she asked—but he also knew that she wasn’t as ready as she claimed.
