Clark was appointed to be a separate King, but in an alliance with King Adam. Clark did not expect such a lofty position to be bestowed on him. The entire thirteen packs of the North were then crashed into one pack, and called, "Northern Chris landing," in honor of Chris.

The palace was kept at the center and Clark had to move from his lofty position and his magnificent house in the south over to the North. 

As Mera and he had agreed he took Rapunzel along and left Mera to fulfill her dreams and reign as the warden of the South. Old Angel was still alive and joined him in the North.

That means Clark had to marry Another woman, he then got married to Christabel. The Northerners accepted Christabel since she was a native and that made it very easy. 

Rapunzel sometimes came back to spend time with her mother and it was known that they spilt up on a mutual basis and reasons. The North had now become one independent nation and a new King has started his line.
