The abundant supply of lavish trees and flowers was the first thing Anna noticed.

It was her first time to set foot in the Almodiel's mansion. She used to see it in pictures and some magazine covers but it hardly compared to the real thing.

Anna let her eyes wander around. She was in awe but despite the luxurious surroundings, Anna caught sight of Kristofer's stoic expression.

He had woken up a few minutes before they came through the gates. His mood instantly showed how he wasn't happy to be back. 

Anna could empathize with how he must have felt.

Being an only child and the only heir to the company and everything, is not an ideal life which everyone was led to believe.

If Elijah wasn't born, Anna would be in the same shoes as Kristofer. Although, between the two of them, she'd probably have a better chance of still retaining some freedom.
