Not your usual

Grace came to the nearest store and bought some groceries. She included in her list a few bottles of beer and hangover soup to cure her headache for the next day.

It turned out she'd be alone for tonight, hence the dinner with Lory got cancelled. She was partly glad that it wouldn't happen.

Although she rarely drinks, when she saw the bottles sitting innocently inside the fridge of the store, she shrugged and thought why not.

Getting herself drunk might help her fall asleep later. It would be a welcome after effects. 

She'd been thinking more and more of the kind of life that awaited her when the nine months would be over. She'd be mothering a child that wasn't hers and, to add, she had to pretend to be a doting wife to a husband who wouldn't even be coming home to her every night.
