Bittersweet

Her phone kept ringing. 

Anna ignored the incessant ringing and vibrating on her desk. She was really mad, and it was taking every ounce of energy from her to keep herself from pointing an accusatory finger towards Kristofer Almodiel.

It was actually a good idea that she already told her grandmother and brother about the engagement, else she would be dead by now.

However, there are a few people who still didn't know about it and she couldn't talk to them right now.

The sudden announcement, live on the news, took her by surprise.

It wasn't part of the plan. Nothing was part of the plan, actually.

And Anna wanted to scream all over again. She needed to brace herself from now on.

Her life has taken a huge u-turn ever since Kristofer Almodiel meddled with it.

"What did I ever do to deserve this?"

Anna muttered.

Was this already a price she needed to pay?
