He has to take off the shirt Laurie just lends him because she puked on it. He's topless as he washed the said shirt in the bathroom sink after she cleaned the drunk Laurie and put her to bed. It took a lot of effort to put her to bed because, in her drunken state, she cried and kept on hitting his arm and calling him an asshole. 

Jiro didn't get all the answers to his question but now he has the idea that Laurie was somehow aware of his relationship with Rina. What really confused him was the words she used to describe Rina. He knew for a fact that Laurie does treat people nicely. Also, the anger towards Rina was quite disturbing. 

From the way she spat her words, he could tell that her anger towards Rina came from the deeper ground. It's not something that was just how girls would say, not just vibing.
