Although Raymond was only a five-year-old child, he was sensitive enough to notice that Isabel seemed a bit different than usual. So, when she was washing his hands, he couldn't help but ask: "Sister Isabel, you seem different from before today."
Isabel paused. Her change was so obvious?
As she carefully washed Raymond's hands, she gently asked, "Really?"
After a pause, she continued, "Raymond, what do you think is different about me today, in comparison with my usual self?"
Raymond, after all, was just a child. He could feel that Sister Isabel was somehow different from before, but he couldn't say exactly how. So he furrowed his brow, and after thinking for half a day, he lifted his head and looked at Isabel, saying, "Sister Isabel seems to be extra nice to me today."
"Wasn't I nice to you before?"
"Yes, but today you're extra nice. Sister Isabel, why are you so kind to me today?"
