Can You Trust Me?

"Urgghhh…" Francis suddenly fell on his knees and vomiting blood. His face turned really pale and he look so weak. I, who had just entered his office, hurriedly took a handkerchief and approached him. "What happened? This is not your first time vomiting blood!" I asked, pretending to panic. I knew the reason why he was in this state, it was because I poisoned him. "Cough… cough…" he coughed as he was vomiting blood. "I'm fine. As you said this is not my first time vomiting blood so I can handle it." He said after he stopped vomiting blood. "But I guess you have to stop pretending." He paused and moved his body closer to me. "Charlize," he whispered right to my ears. He still looked so weak due to the poison but he seemed like already used to it. "I know it is you who make me in this state." ------------- Hi everyone!!!  Thank you for supporting me this far, and sorry for not continuing this work. Time for Revenge (Lydia POV)

Olivia, when would this girl stop to act as if she had everything? When would she stop deceiving our father and taking away everything from me? Laboratory assistance, Duke Ashford's advisor, Sir Rowan's fiance, she took those positions all by herself. Even she took away our father's attention for herself.

She took those positions from me! I was the eldest child of the Whitley family! How could she only leave the head of a small business to me?!

Olivia, I would make sure that girl would feel the pain I felt. I would take back everything she has! It was just the time for her to stop everything and fell into a deep despair. I would make her regret doing this.

I started to search for everything that could be her weakness. She should at least have one, nobody was perfect after all. The more one felt they were in a high position, the more secrets and weaknesses they had.

...

On the night where the new year party was held, Olivia entered the hall happily with Sir Rowan beside her. I was so irritated to see that, since I was only walking with my family without someone beside me. No, I should watch her carefully. Maybe there would be something good to be her weakness.

"Lady Whitley, congratulations for your engagement!" "Congratulations, Lady Whitley." "I wish for your happiness!!!" Olivia smiled between those praises. But how long did that smile last? For another year? Months? Or even weeks?

A few moments after the party started, I found Olivia acting suspiciously. She looked around her as if she was making sure no one was watching her. After a while, she left the hall.

I didn't want to lose this chance, she must be hiding something so she acted that cautious. I followed her silently from afar, between the crowd. Everything about you would end Olivia!

She went to a closed room, far away from the hall. There was no one around that room, except both of us; such a perfect place to hide something. That moment, I didn't dare to come closer to see what she was doing there. There was a high possibility that Olivia would notice me if I went closser.

Not long after Olivia entered that place, a girl with a big robe, hood and a fabric covered her face. I decided to follow her instead of checking what was inside the room. Since there was no one around, then that person should be Olivia.

'The garden?' I was confused. That person went to a garden. Who was she going to meet with that look? I hid behind the bushes around there and took a look.

'Prince Francis?' I was startled and almost shouted when I saw a man approach that girl. If that girl really was Olivia, then it means she betrayed everyone! And the more I was waiting there, the more I was surprised. I couldn't hear what they were talking about, but they talked for a long time.

Olivia, should I threaten that girl with this? Or should I just tell our father? Maybe she would do anything I ask if I threatened her. But if I told our father, she would disappear from my life forever, and I would be the best child in the Whitley family. What a win-win for me.

An hour and half after they were talking, they were finally done. I had to move so no one noticed me, since I had to check that girl really was Olivia. My hard work would be in vain if Olivia (or that girl) or Prince Francis knew I was here, watching them.

When I just walked several steps, I noticed that someone walked in the same direction as me. He was Prince Roosevelt.

Prince Roosevelt was Prince Francis' opponent in everything possible. And my family supported Prince Roosevelt, so if I wanted to destroy Olivia, reporting her to PRince Roosevelt may be a good idea. Or, was he already suspecting Olivia from the beginning?

I bowed toward and greeted him. "Greetings your highness. I'm Lydia Whitley, the eldest daughter of the Whitley family."

"Greetings Lady Whitley." He bowed at me slightly. "I hope you have a good day, today, especially at the party."

"Thank you, your highness." I smiled. "Honestly, I was following my sister. There is something I want to know about her in secret. But, as I followed her, I found you here." At the end, I revealed the reason why I was there.

He looked surprised. Maybe he was here for the same reason as mine. "Your sister? Who do you mean?" I got him!

"I was curious about my younger sister, Olivia Whitley, so I decided to follow her. Unfortunately, I ended up losing her somewhere." I paused. "But the girl who was there looked like my sister, so I watched her from here."

That conversation just ended that way. I promised him that I would find more clues about Olivia.

…..

After the new year party, I tried harder to find any clues about Olivia. I had to find at least her robe and fabric that covered her face that time. That was enough to threaten her for the time being. It would be better if I could find something more.

Three months had passed and I only found Olivia's robe and fabric. So, was that girl that met Prince Francis really Olivia? Should I tell our father that they met secretly at the party? Or should I tell Prince Francis that someone he met secretly was actually a daughter from the Whitley family?

It would be fun if I do both, right? If I told my father, he would try to find more clues and Olivia's betrayal would be revealed. If I told Prince Francis, he wouldn't trust Olivia anymore. Then no one could help her!

Since my father still had a lot of work for several days, I started with Prince Francis. I visited him at the palace and showed him Olivia's robe. He was startled. Seemed like he couldn't believe what I said, but he couldn't deny it either. What a nice view.

I wonder what decision Prince Francis made.
