Meeting her fiance 4

Few minutes after the call. Loveth's phone beeped. She quickly picked up her phone to check thinking that it was William. She opened the message.

"What! She shouted.

" So, he saw me. I'm happy I passed the other side. I don't care that I injured my leg. He would have spoilt the relationship, I wouldn't have been able to forgive myself" Loveth thought.

She stood up and went straight to freshen up. She was so happy about her excellent performance in the presentation because this will fetch her more commission. She was also happy that she could meet someone she loved as she has never loved anyone before.

"I must get to work earlier today. I have a lot of files to go through. And also the appointment I canceled yesterday" Loveth thought.

She came back from the bathroom to check what she would wear. The thought of wearing one blue gown she just got for herself a few days ago flooded her mind.

"Let me wear this. Who knows whether I will also go on a date today" she said and smiled.

She checked all her shoes to pick the one that fit the dress.

"Oh! This is great, it will go well with the gown" Loveth said and went back to the mirror.

She applied a little makeup and put on her dress. She put on her shoes.

"Wow! I'm very beautiful. Oh! I forgot to pick up my bag." She said and walked majestically to her wardrobe.

"Which one should I take?" She thought as she flipped her hands through all the bags there

She picked the one she bought with the gown and packed all the items in the bag she used the previous day into the new bag.

She went to her trolley and picked up her body perfume. She sprayed it on her body. She carried her bag and left.

She met their cook as she was about to get to the sitting room.

"Good morning miss Loveth, I want to tell you that breakfast is ready, the cook said calmly

"Oh! Thank you. As you can see, I'm coming already" Loveth replied and walked majestically to the dining table.

"I like your dress, it looks perfect on you," the cook said.

Loveth smiled and nodded in reply. She liked their cook as she always tells her the truth. She doesn't lie even if the dress is not good she will tell her not minding whether she will be angry or not.

She was taking her breakfast when her dad came out of his room to the sitting room.

"Good morning dad! " Loveth said.

"Daughter, you looked great. I love your look. You are very beautiful" M.r Henry said and sat beside his daughter.

"Really? Thank you, dad. Do you have an appointment that you are fully dressed by this time of the morning?" Loveth asked in surprise.

"Yes, daughter. I was about to ask you too. Do you have a date this morning?" M.r Henry asked.

"No, dad! I'm going to work. I have a lot of files on my table and besides, I canceled some appointments yesterday because the date went for " Loveth said.

"Oh! Why is my tongue too loose? I never wanted to tell anyone about Williams yet. What have I done to myself now?" Loveth murmured.

"A date? You went on a date yesterday?" M.r Henry asked in surprise.

"Dad! Never mind. I just went to meet one of our business partners" Loveth said, rushing her words.

"I see, and how was your meeting with him?" M.r Henry said jokingly.

"With who dad?" Loveth asked

"With him now. No problem if you don't want to tell me now" M.r Henry said with a wide grin.

Both of them did not know that Mrs. Henry was already coming.

"Can you share with me what father and daughter are discussing this early morning? I want to see him. Loveth invite him for your birthday which is coming up in two weeks" Mrs. Henry said happily.

"Yes! You remind me of her birthday. How are we doing at the party?" Mr. Henry said to cover her daughter since she didn't want to discuss it now.

The three of them began to plan the birthday party. Mr. Henry was happy that his wife had forgotten about the date and so was Loveth.

A few minutes later after Mr.s Henry had written all the items needed for the party, she brought up the topic again.

"Mum! Nothing. We were just discussing the business partner I went to meet yesterday" Loveth said as she picked up her bag and was about to go.

"Daughter! You looked great. The dress fits you perfectly. Do you have a date this morning? Feel free to bring him home" Mrs . Henry said jokingly.

"Mum!! I'm going to the office. I have some files on my desk and I have some appointments too" Loveth said as she moved to the sitting room.

"Alright daughter, have a nice day at work. Get something for me when you are coming too" Mrs. Henry shouted for Loveth to hear.

"My dear, you don't take no for an answer. Just know that she didn't want to discuss it now" M.r Henry said with a smile.

"I know, I'm just teasing her," Mrs. Henry replied.

Loveth entered her car and security opened for her.

She maneuvered the car out of the compound and zoomed off.

"Why is it that I can't keep my heart off this lady? I have never felt like this for any lady before. I will just let my intention known to her on our second date" Williams thought and smiled.

"But she is a sophisticated lady, a daughter of a rich man. How can I meet her needs? My salary can not even fuel a car in a month. She lived in a mansion. Look at me in a rented apartment" Williams said to himself sadly.

Williams was in the middle of these thoughts when his phone rang. He rushed to where his phone was.

"Wow! She is calling me already". Henry said to himself

He allowed the call to drop. And then dialed her number.

"Good morning pretty! Hope I didn't disturb your sleep the other time. I've already finished calling before I checked the time" Williams said calmly.

"Not at all! Thank you for checking on me. I intend to wake up early to get to work. Your call helped me" Loveth said in her sweet, tiny voice.

"Wow! Do you mean that you are already at work? " Williams asked in surprise.

"Yes, I have some files to work on. And also some clients to attend to" Loveth replied.

"Wow! I like that. For me, I am about to leave the house now" Williams said.

"Alright, enjoy your day," Loveth said.

"Thank you. I like you" Williams said and quickly hung up the call before she could reply.

"What! He said he likes me. Wow! I'm very happy right now. He didn't even allow me to reply before he cut the call. Maybe he is shy" Loveth thought and smiled.

She raised her head and saw her secretary standing in front of her.

"What! When did you get here?" She asked as she discovered that she didn't close the office door.

"Good morning ma! I came and I discovered your office is open. I was scared as I remembered that you don't come to work by this time of the morning" She said and paused.

"So, I thought of checking but as I entered I discovered that you were the one, so I thought of greeting you before going to my seat.

"Alright! Bring the other files for me" Loveth said calmly.

The secretary was so surprised by her boss' reaction. She was afraid because she could sack her for what she did.

"Something has changed in her since she came back from her meeting yesterday," the secretary thought as she was leaving her office.

She was about to step out when she commended her dress. Loveth smiled and nodded in reply.

"Why is everybody commenting on my dress today? The clothes must have fit me perfectly" Loveth thought.

Loveth was so engrossed with the work she was doing before she was interrupted by the beep of her phone.

She stopped what she was doing immediately and picked up her phone.

"Wow! I'm happy. It's like both of us are feeling the same way for each other" Loveth thought and smiled.

As she was about to drop her phone, another message popped up.

"Can we meet at the same place today? My heart refused to let go of you" Loveth read the message.

She read the message more than six times. She began to smile.

"Let me reply to him, I should have finished what I'm doing before 4 pm. And also I will invite him to my birthday party as my mother has suggested. I won't let them know till that day. It would be a surprise to them" Loveth thought.

She typed the message and sent it to him. She dropped the call and dialed the secretary's number with the office line.

Within one hour, she attended to all her clients. She relaxed on the chair as she was very tired. She didn't know when she slept off.

Williams has already been in the restaurant before 4 pm. He picked up his phone to remind her of their date. He called five times, but she didn't pick up her calls.

"What could have happened? Is she in a meeting? Has she forgotten our date this evening?" Williams said to himself worryingly.
