Chapter 001

Suddenly a small chuckle escaped my lips, I was reading a novel that said that love is not that easy to get, we have to chase a man we may have a crush on from the start to get his heart too. Seriously? A girl chasing a guy? Haha, that's ridiculous.

I promise I will never go after a man like the novel says. Uh, I hate every time I feel ignored, especially when I have to compete with some of the more popular girls, I really am not.

First of all, please know that my name is Angelicia Xhyra, an ordinary girl who just graduated from high school. One of the luckiest things I've received so far is that I passed the college of my dreams thanks to my excellent grades. It turned out that it was not in vain to study every night for more than three months to face the final exam.

My bare feet that are not wearing any base slowly land on the cold floor of the room, I put the silly novel I had read into its origin. Walked to the mirror to fix my makeup a little, because today I will start my first day on campus. Ah, I really can't wait, have fun.

I walked hurriedly down the stairs to reach the ground floor, putting on my casual shoes before walking towards the dining table. I can see my mother busy preparing breakfast, my smile widens, I'm happy to find my mother who can smile again after father's departure two years ago.

At that time, we were really down so we didn't talk to each other for several days, my mother and I both locked ourselves in the room while remembering the moments of togetherness between me and my father at this time. Yes, that's how it is, basically it is only fate that can act as it pleases. Even so, I shouldn't blame fate, right?

"Mom, I'm done. How do I look?" My body turned a little in front of my mother, the woman who would soon turn forty-five gave a sweet smile and raised her two thumbs at me.

"That's great, when is my daughter's appearance never good? Men can chase you every day." Mother's words successfully made both of my cheeks flush, I gently nudged her shoulder because I was embarrassed.

"Jeez, really? I'm not that attractive mom." My hands then pulled the chair and landed my ass there, I saw my mother just shook her head slowly then handed a bowl of cereal in front of me, don't forget a glass of my favorite chocolate milk.

"You don't think you'll be late today?" Mother's question of course made me reach for my cell phone, my eyes successfully widened because there were fifteen minutes left for the new student guidance class to start. Really, I don't want to get punished by my own seniors.

I deftly chewed everything in my mouth quickly, I even unconsciously gulped down the still hot milk until it was half left. Then what again? Of course my tongue was burning. Mother was also surprised, she gave me a small box of ice cubes for me to chew, I followed mother's advice then got up and grabbed my bag.

"Mom, i really have to leave now."

"Next time set your alarm properly so you can wake up early, if it's like this, you're the one who will lose, right?" Mom was right, I again exhaled roughly and ran out of the house. Yes, I know, I'm rude for not saying goodbye properly to mom. But how else? I'm really pressed for time.

I glanced at the two objects that I could drive to take me to campus, a little thinking if I would be late if I used a car, my eyes then turned to my mother's shiny motorbike, without thinking twice I immediately got on the motorbike.

"Mom, take my car to the boutique, I borrowed your motorbike to go to campus!" My veins almost burst from screaming, come on, it's still early, I don't want to lose my voice on my first day of college.

-

Sweat really flooded my forehead, actually the breeze was quite refreshing because it hit me during the trip. However, nervousness mixed with fear made me sweat again, because in there I found a line that wasn't that long with a senior who I believed was my class supervisor as well as my major.

With slow steps and trembling legs I stepped, letting my long loose hair cover a little part of my face, I saw all pairs of eyes turned to me as I joined them.

Of course I did not enter the line, I went straight to my senior mentors who I had not been able to see their faces at all. I was too scared, so I let my hands intertwine as if to channel the anxiety from one hand to the other.

"Sorry, I am late." I said after I felt my two senior men approaching me.

"You know your mistake, that's why you weren't given the right to join them this morning. I need to guide you properly so you can be disciplined on time." I was stunned and slightly wide-eyed, I was about to protest when I looked up. However, his eyes were so thick and his handsome face seemed to hypnotize me, so I didn't utter any words that I originally wanted to say. It felt like the sentence just stuck in my throat.

"Did you hear what I said?" I gasped, stepping back a little because it wasn't safe for my heart in that position.

"Yes, seniors?" I repeat again.

However, I seem to have been ignored, because the man whose name I don't know is actually calling the man who was standing beside him earlier.

"Jack, you take care of them, I need to take care of this one undisciplined student."

It's seriously me being punished alone? Wow, really, why am I the only one late in the literature department? There should be someone who is the same as me even if it's only one person.

I saw the man named Jack nodded, he immediately directed the student to follow him into class. They survived, and that's because of me.

"Come with me," his voice returned to my senses, I just nodded slightly even though he didn't see it, I followed the man who was taller than me while keeping a distance from him.

We entered the student room, wow, I just entered this campus a day and I've entered a room like this, as if I was the most unruly and violated student on campus.

The man sat down and opened a white paper with the names of the new students on it, my name must be there.

"What's your name?"

"Angelicia Xhyra." I answered in a tone that I tried to be as calm as possible. He then looked for my name there and wrote something around my name. Maybe a complaint under the guise of a report.

"Come back," I frowned at that.

"Back to class?" I asked trying to be sure.

"To your house, I've made your name red here, unless you want to make a letter of request so you don't violate and admit you're wrong by shouting in front of all the literature students. Again, running around the field at noon during recess ten times. Can you afford it?"

"Hah?!"
