"WHEN YOU INVITED ME OVER TO TALK I didn't expect there to be food talkless of you being the cook." Imaani chuckled before she took another forkful of her pasta

"I wanted our first date to be proper, since I know how to cook why not do it for you?" I replied as I watch her lips form a smile at my words

She's gorgeous.

She stared at me as if I suddenly had two heads "Wow, this is going to take some time to adjust to. Usually, you're more of a few words kinda guy but now, you're being polite, it's strange."

"I'm working on it, I guess"

She laughed "That's good to know. The food is really good by the way"

"Really? wait, are you being polite or do you mean it?"

She laughed lowly as she placed her fingers on her mouth "I'm for real, it's really good, thank you"

"I'm glad you like it" I smiled at her and took a bite from my food

My phone starts to ring but I ignore it, it keeps ringing
