Chapter 3: Blow off some steam

Katherine's POV

"Sh * t" That's what I said when my cousin saw the wounds on my body, and right now I'm in a hot seat. He's like a detective right now and I'm his suspect, now I know what it's like to be asking questions as if you're a criminal.

"Dude I told you this was from our PE yesterday," I told him earlier that I'm sitting here for almost an hour now, and he won't take my excuse.

"Fine. Let's say you got it from PE, but it won't be that bad" He said. I thought he would accept my excuse. I know it was a lame excuse but I can't think of anything else so that's what I said.

"I told you it was bad that I failed" I'm trying to convince him.

"Really? If that was bad don't you think that it should be on one side only?" He was right

"Fine I admit it, I got into a fight but don't worry it won't happen again as long as you don't tell them please?" When I feel sorry for him

"Fine" That's all he said since he knew I was compulsive

"Thanks, dude I owe you one," I said and gave him a big smile

And lastly, his interrogation ended because I thought I was going to die of so much nervousness that I was stressed at the thought of an excuse I need some fresh air. I decided to go out of the house wearing a hoodie and pants I borrowed my cousin's car and thank god he borrowed it because I don't want to walk far. When I arrived at Starbucks I did not drive through since I'm here to relax.

When I got my order and sat in my chair my phone suddenly rang. It was from an unregistered number.

"Hello?" I said

"Is this Katherine Evans?" It was a girl

"Yes, and who am I speaking too?" I asked on the other line

"Kath it's me, your mom" She sadly said

"Don't fool, I don't remember having a mother" I sarcastically said

"Please let me see you," She said while her voice trembled

"Look stop bothering me I'm okay with my life now, don't ruin it anymore," I said and dropped the call

Her call made it worse, I want to relax but she made me feel worse. I decided to go on a road trip or go to a race track to blow off some steam. It's good and I have access to their race track because Mitch's mom gave me because his mom knows that I like to drive a car when I'm stressed and of course I can't do anything as long as I'm on the road soo here I do

When I got to the race track, they did not stop me. I bought a car that I could use, I did not change my clothes, I got in the car and started it. I have been going around the race track for 30 minutes and I decided that I should stop already since I'm okay now. I saw someone standing in the track so I immediately stepped on the brake but since I was unlucky even though I was wearing a seatbelt my forehead hit the steering wheel. I immediately removed the seatbelt.

"What are you thinking ?!" Alex immediately shouted at me as soon as he reaches the car's door

"I should be the one asking you that!" I shouted at him while holding my forehead, I felt something dripping from my forehead but I choose to ignore it

"Let me treat your wound," He said and opened the door at the same time dragging me because I haven't done anything since I was really really dizzy.

He made me sit on the sofa, there is a mini living room here for Mitch and Alex's friends. While he was treating my bloody forehead, he suddenly asked about it.

"Why are you here?" He asked me

"To relieve stress and why are you here?" I asked him too

"One of the staff called me, saying that you're driving to fast and I got worried when I came here" He explained

"It's obvious to be fast since this is a race track," I said and rolled my eyes. Sometimes I just wonder if he's just acting stupid or he's really stupid.

"But not that fast as if you're trying to kill yourself" As soon as he finished treating my wound I got up to leave and go home.

"Where do you think your going?" He asked me and stand up, I think he's trying to stop me from going

"I'm going home" I answered sparingly and left, he called me but I ignored it. He knew he can't stop me.

When I got home I first looked at myself in the mirror and it was good that my wound was not obvious because my hair was covered. I was able to park I saw my auntie's car and they are home already.

"I'm home!" I shouted as soon as I enter the house

"Changed your clothes that we are going somewhere," My aunt said while putting makeup on her face

"Where?" I asked because I don't remember leaving

"We are going to eat outside" She replied and start pushing me to go and change my clothes

"I'm okay with what I'm wearing now," I told her because I don't want to change and she stops pushing me

"Okay if you say so, here open the car for later it will be cold," Aunt said and handed me the key

"Okay" I answered and did what she asked me to do

I've been waiting here in the car since they'll fix it quickly. When we arrived at the restaurant to eat, the waitress came together

"How may I help you, ma'am?" The waitress asked my aunt politely. My aunt approached him and whispered something

"This way ma'am," The woman said and took me to a VIP room, my aunt did not reserve my aunt in the VIP room. I really want to ask her what's going on but the waitress already opened the door I was shocked who was with us in the room.
