ch 25 Accepting the world's request

I'm currently looking at the heron chick while sitting on the floor of the training room. The poor guy is looking around and then concentrate its stare at me. 'Oh I forgot to ask Siri.." I stare at the chick triggering the text box.

ME:Is it a boy?

SIRI: No...

'Oh.. a it's a girl' I started to talk to is, "Hey girl, do you understand me?"

*kuk*kuk* It started bobbing its head for confirmation.

I'm actually at a lost what to say and started asking, "Can you tell me how you end up without your parents?"

"Squak....uak...*kuk*...uak...*kuk!!!!" It replied and look dejected.

"So your siblings push you out of the nest...haaa.. Sorry about that" I watched documentaries before, 'I think it was called Cain and Abel struggle.'

I continued, "Well you could be part of my family. Would you like that? I already have this guys as members..." I waved my hands out and smoke surrounded me. There is a strong smell of incense in the air. From the cloud of smoke, Grace and Gavel appeared walking to my side.

"Neighhhh...!!" Grace gently nudge my head. She already look like a full grown adult unicorn. Her crystal horn shines brightly.

"Baaaaa..!!"Gavel bumps his head on my shoulder. He grew a bit after just a few months. Nana actually said that golden sheep rams can be as big as a bison.

I caress Grace neck with my right arm and rub Gavels head with my left hand.

The chick look at us panicking in her box. I tried to calm ot down saying, "Relax, they use to be normal animals but became special when they formed a contract with me"Then I told the two," Guys, can you change to your old self?"

Grace and Gavel's bodies were then surrounded by bright light for a moment. Then as the light vanish they turned to thier former selves. A horse and a ram.

"See, they look like this when I first met them. After I formed a contract with them, they became what you saw earlier." I'm pausing to help the poor bird process what I'm saying. Then I look at the chick again and said,"And now, I'm offering the same contract to you as well. I'll give you a home and food, as well as powers, and most of all a chance to be part of our family from now on. What do you say?"

The heron chick stood up and flapped its featherless wings, *tuk*tuk*"Uaaakkkkkkk!!!!!!" She kept bobbing her head up and down, nodding as her reply.

I waved my hands on the air opening the smoky entance to my Beast Space. A strong smell of incense fills the training room.

"Neighhh. ""Baaaa" Grace and Gavel motioned the chick to enter the cloud of smoke.

"Go in girl, we'll be there with you." I said softly to the chick.

It gave me a final look and with its thin wobbly legs it clumsily walk to the cloud of smoke. Grace and Gavel followed after.

The smoke vanish and only a hint of incense lingers. I take in a moment of silence to calm my heart. I sat in cross-legged in a lotus position, cleared my mind and entered my mindscape.

When my projection appeared, I didn't stop and look at the sceneries and just went straight to the Spring of Purity. Grace and Gavel are already waiting. They're back to their majestic selves, a Crystal Unicorn and Gold Lighting Ram.

I stood between them and we stare at the chick that was slowly sinking down the Spring. I said to the both of them, "You two, our new companion has a strong and ancient bloodline. The powers she will possess might be out of her control so I ask both of you to watch over her."

"Neighhh!" Grace nodded and her crystal horn shined brightly as if saying she is not weak.

"Baaaaa!!*zappp* Gavel answered while releasing spakes of electricity.

I smile at them. Even if the world's will provides replacements with greater bloodline, I'll never abandon my two first contracts.

When the chick fully submerge in the water, we waited in suspense....6 seconds, 10 seconds 15 seconds. I became anxious. 'It wasn't this long when Grace and Gavel went in. Did something happened?!!'

After 30 seconds there movement in the water. The chick emerged all white standing with wings folded. Its neck was erect and beak pointing to the sky. Nothing change much with the appearance except the whole body turning white. It got its eyes closed and no movement was shown. 'What happened? Is it dead? No! It can be!!'

We panicked and made our way to the chick. Before we can get close, a wave of white transparent flame engolf the chick. Then we saw it move and opened its eyes intensely and let out a scream. "SSssqqqquuuuuaaakkkkkkkkkkkkeei!"

And the whole bird bursts into while flames accompanied by blinding while light like a dying white dwarf star at the end of its life.

As the light dimmed down , we saw a clump of floating soil suspended above the Spring. The clump slowly levitated towards me. As I look closely, I realize that the clump is not soil but ash. '..like Nana said, Egyptian phoenix! So it underwent nirvana?!'

"Neeeeegggh!!!!!!!!""Bbbbbbaaaaaa!!!!!! Both Grace and Gavel were panicking seeing the chick bursting into flame.

"Everything's alright guys. Look!" When I caught the clump of ash with both hands there is already movement. Amidst the ash a little white chick emerged. I brush the remaining ash that is sticking on it. Grace and Gavel calmed down and stared lovingly at the chick. I checked its weight and it feels like im holding a loaf of bread. 'So small..'

"Chep!" The chick is a little disoriented and let out a small chirp. 'Awwwwww.. its cute and ugly at the same time!'

"Girl don't panic you just underwent nirvana. It will take time to fully get use to you new form. For now....-" While I was talking to the chick my Beast Space quakes. At the southern part of the Spring, an empty pedestal appeared.

"Woah! Why is it empty?" When i checked carefully, I found a fist size triangualr blue stone floating above the pedestal. A moment later, transparent white flames emerge creating an image of a heron facing south. The triangular blue stone is seen placed at the chess of the transparent white flame heron.

I realize something and check the chess of the chick on my palm. And I found a speck of blue stone imbedded on her chess. "Yup,so when you grow up the stone will grow with you"

Then a yellow soiled area appeared with a long wide river going around it like a racetrack. The vegetations are sparsely arranged. There are small bushes and acacia trees . There are also towering Baubab trees with rich spruce of leaves in thier small branches that looks like crowns.

The Baubab trees are placed far apart from one another. Against the clear blue sky, they look like pillars holding the sky in place. When I look at the whole place , it reminded me of the Nile river and Madagascar.

"Neighhh..Neighhh..""BAAAAA..*zapp*" Grace and Gavel got excited with the addition of the little chick.

"Okay guys, calm down. Don't scare the little one. She is still currently a chick that needs to grow...? Wait, what do you eat exactly?" And as if answering my question, hundreds of small white fish jumped from the river. There are also different sizes to choose from. "Whew.. Good, now I know the beast space comes with your food as well."

Gavel jumped 20 meters up in the air and glided down the new area, Grace followed while galloping at the speed of light. They went by the river and looked at the fish. I also hover towards them holding the chick.

We checked and the river is full of fish with several varieties and in different sizes.

*zippp* Gavel projuced a short thin line of lighting on the water. A few small fish floated on the water. Some stunned while the smaller ones died.

"Neighh" Grace created a small basin made of light and scooped the floating fish. The basin came in front of us. I picked the smallest fish that looked like a guppy and place it above the small chick.

"Cherp!" It reached the fish with its beak and swallowed it whole. As it finish it move excitedly as if saying 'Delicious!'

In its excitement, it let it a puff of while flame that hits my hand that was still above it. It was warm but I felt no pain.

I kept feeding it until it was full. Then I just realized I haven't given it a name. I thought about the whole experience when I accepted the request from world's will and the powers and responsibility that goes along with it. Then I look at the new area that looks dry but still teaming with life.

I made my decision and said, "Reza.. your name will be REZA NILE!"

A bit of explanation. Reza is a girl's name that means Agreement, Will, Resignation, Contentment, Acceptance, etc.
