Chapter 8

I spent the week preparing for our departure. With such a big animal, I can't take public transport, or even hitchhike. However, working for a friend a few months ago, I managed to get my driver's license. I will therefore rent a van in order to be able to transport my four-legged companion. This will seriously eat into my budget, but I don't have much choice, except to walk there...

I watch my wolf leaning over the parapet of the roof, watching the street below. He has entirely lost his mass of damaged hair revealing his real dark brindle colored fur which is ultimately short, except on his surprisingly hairy tail. The gold highlights look really gorgeous in the bright light of the summer sun. Now that he is no longer covered with lint, dust and other dirt, thanks to my numerous brushings, I can see his powerful muscles rolling under his skin. He has nothing to do with the starving and dying animal I took in last week.
