Chapter 2 - Devour System

Otani walks through the grasslands, seeing plenty of creatures. Antelopes, Lions, Monkeys, Warthog and more! There was heaps of different animals, looking at them made him drool. Oh he could just taste the cooked warthog meat. Even though he is a dog, he was still a carnivore and no carnivore could resist the urges of delicious juicy meat.

However, his body was too small to hunt. Even with his human intelligence, it'd be in vain against these domineering animals. Even a giraffe, which you would think would be a easy hunt due to their long legs, is capable of stomping a lion out. There have even been some cases where the giraffe will decapitate the predator. While he is just a dog, what could he do?

'I already have an idea what God's Blessing and Devourer is'

'If I want to get stronger, I'll have to eat something not stronger than me. Maybe a rabbit'

Otani crouches under the grass and sneaks around, looking for small animals. He finds two small rabbits eating some berries by a bush, he crouches again and sneaks up behind them slowly.

'This should be an easy catch! No problem at all.'

Otani rushes at one of the rabbits and pounce on them. He chomps on the rabbits neck, the rabbit struggles helplessly. The other rabbit was in a shock and ran away swiftly. The rabbit in Otani's mouth struggled for a few more moments before it went stiff.

"Got it!"

Otani drops the rabbit and begins to devour the rabbit.

"It's so delicious even if not cooked!!" Otani ravages the rabbit with content.

Otani looks at the skills while still eating.

'These skills are self-explanatory'

Otani finishes his meal and wanders through the grasslands again. He finds another rabbit and crouches back under the grass.

'Just have to wait for the right moment..'

'NOW'

Otani uses [Light Steps] and swiftly dashes at the rabbit. The rabbit looks at him in shock and tries to run away, Otani catches the rabbit and digs his teeth into the rabbit's back.

"AAAAAH" The rabbit screamed in pain

"Please don't kill me!!" The rabbit whimpers

Hearing the rabbit's cute voice, Otani feels guilt pass through him. Sure he may be an animal now, but he was a human once.

"Nothing personal, It's just the rule of life" Otani says

Otani gives the rabbit a quick death by snapping its neck. He starts to devour the rabbit.

[Skill: "Light Steps" has upgraded to "Quick Steps" ]

Otani finishes his meal and looks at his skills.

"It upgraded?"

'This is really good!! With enough speed, I can even beat animals two times my size!'

Otani looks at the lowering Sun, it was almost night. He walks around looking for a suitable place he can call his home. He finds a forest and wonders throughout it in hope of finding a small place to sleep.

After wondering for another minute, he finds a boulder and rocks covering on top of it. It was small enough to fit in, so he lays down and falls asleep.

"Maybe I'll catch more interesting prey tomorrow"

The sun hovers back over the Savanna, another day have passed. And for some reason, he was really hungry even though he ate two whole rabbit yesterday.
