Amelia was still lying on bed with Archie when her phone beeped. She got up from the bed and picked up her cell phone from the side table. It was a text from Dylan.

"DON'T WAIT FOR ME FOR DINNER. I’M GOING TO BE LATE TONIGHT. LOVE YOUBABY

GIRL."

Amelia had read the message, and her heart had broken into bits. She read the message again and again, feeling hurt.

She wanted him, and she was waiting for him, but he couldn't come. Amelia locked her phone and lay down again, crying a lot.

She didn't know why she was so hurt. It wasn't because of Dylan that she was crying, but because she felt so alone. She didn't bother her friends because they were busy and tired.
