Aiden took Jason's place, straddling the bench and leaning his chin on his palm. His elbow pressed against the wooden surface of the table as he blessed her with a dazzling smile.
"Miss me?" he winked.
Yes. Always. All the god damn time.
"You wish," she said instead, but her words were all echoey because she was drowning in his stare.
"No issues?" Aiden asked, finally tearing his eyes away from her to address Jason, whose gaze flickered to Marley before he shook his head.
"Nope."
She glanced between the two of them, confused at what transpired, but lost all her train of thought when he lifted his hat off his head and settled it onto hers before running a hand through his soft, tousled dark brown hair with a strong arm.
