"You know we'll always be okay," Marley said their mantra as they pulled away from each other, bumping her hip with Gabby's.

"We'll be so much more than okay." Gabby suddenly jumped on Marley's back, like when they were kids.

Marley squealed and stumbled on her feet, managing to regain her balance in time. She held onto Gabby's thighs and started to bounce as she walked while their laughter filled the air. Gabby used to do this to her all the time, and Mr. Collins would have to dodge them in the hallways as they ran, Marley colliding with walls and sometimes tables. The memories associated with their current moment caused swells of happiness to emanate from her heart.

The girls had been laying in a clearing only a short walk away from the laundry cabin, deciding to catch up and spend some time together to themselves. It's been a whirlwind with all these new friends and chaos and drama. It was always them, and sometimes they needed it to be that way again.
