Dinner.

It was a busy hour in the kitchen when Camilla's phone rang, it was Chris.

"Ben, help me with that " Camilla said as she left the kitchen.

"Hello " she smiled.

"I miss you," he said.

She giggled.

"Done with work?" she asked.

"Going to meet some investors then am done for the day "

"Alright, but don't drink too much on an empty stomach, I know you missed lunch," she told him.

He was brimming with happiness that she cared.

"Yes, my dear wife " he replied.

Her smile widened.

"Okay I have to hang up now, take care," she said.

"Shall we have dinner after work?" he asked before hunting up.

"Okay, I will be here waiting "

"I adore you " he whispered

"And I too ".

They both hung up, Camilla ran back to the kitchen & Chris turned back to the meeting.

His employees had frozen when he had decided to make a call in a middle of a meeting.

He turned still smiling, "Continue," he said.

Still, in disbelief from his behaviour change went on.

Camilla placed the last dish on the table. The customers and her staff had left. She had made her best dishes and was now waiting for Chris.

She had gotten up to grab some water when the door opened. She turned and it was him...

"Love, " he called. He took strides to her side and trapped Camilla in his embrace.

She held him so tight, and he kissed her.

His lips were cold as they crashed on hers, his mouth tasted like wine, and the kiss grew more intense.

His hands were under her blouse moving to her breasts. She moaned but then the sound of the door opening stopped them.

Chris pulled away in anger as they both turned to the door.

It was Ray & he was holding flowers.

"What do you want?" Chris asked with a cold glare toward Ray.

Ray cleared his voice and turned around. It was then Camilla realised Chris had lifted her hands still under her blouse.

"Love put me down " she whispered.

Chris seemed angry but gently put her down. She fixed herself and then Chris.

"Ray, sorry about that" she apologized.

He ended up joining them for dinner.

"I bought you flowers, to congratulate you on finding a boyfriend," he said.

"Thanks " she smiled.

"Although you could have chosen someone better " Ray added.

Chris smirked, "What do you mean by that?"

Ray looked him in the eyes and said, "We both know what I mean "

Camilla watched them both and giggled.

"It's your second time to meet each other & your both becoming friends already "

Chris nodded, and Ray followed.

They knew she didn't remember that they knew each other even before that. They chatted and Camilla told Ray about her trip with Chris, the places they visited & how he treated her.

"I can't complain about how much he loves you " Ray finally said when the dinner was done.

Both men offered to clean up but Camilla did it instead. She claimed it was her territory & went ahead with it while the men finished the wine.

"She has a small fragment of what happened on that day," Chris said.

Ray frowned, "What do you mean, her parents said she completely erased everything when the accident happened "

"She murmured something during her sleep, & it's was like she heard something that is still investigating about "

"What exactly?" Ray asked.

"Our baby wasn't miscarried as we all thought, but aborted," he said in low voice.

Camilla was still busy in the kitchen.

Ray stammered, "But she could it have, Camilla, was in a bad shape to make any decisions "

Chris sighed, "You know exactly who's signed her operation papers "

"Her parents " Ray let out.

"Her mother in particular " Chris added.

Camilla came out holding her coat and bag.

"Am done boys, let's close up " she smiled.

Both of them turned to her but she noticed the sadness & secrets in their eyes.

She placed a hand on Chris's shoulder as she got closer to them," something wrong?"

"NO.." they instantly mouthed.

She decided not to linger on it, "Okay then let's leave "

They closed up and Ray left first leaving the couple alone.

"You guys seem to be getting along fine " she held his arm as they walked to his car.

"I have to charm your friends so that they agree to our wedding " he laughed.

"Ohh, then that's why you told my staff in the morning "

He nodded.

She laughed. He drove them home as she told him about her day.
