Cute Bear

Ray had just got and laying on the sofa when his doorbell rang. He got up frowning, his head hurt so bad he didn't want to open his eyes.

It must be the food and medicine for Camilla he thought opening the door.

He looked up...frozen in place as his brain registered the face in front of him.

"You?...why see you here?"

Rachel revealed what she carrying. Two big packages and another tiny one.

"Medicine and food," she said.

"She sent you?" Ray asked.

Rachel nodded.

Ray sighed but moved back opening his door so Rachel could walk in. He closed the door after.

He didn't say anything but pointed to his kitchen. She didn't say anything and walked to it.

Ray wanted to protest about Rachel coming over but was too sick to argue and he knew the reason why Camilla had chosen her.

He walked to the sofa laying back down, Camilla knew he liked Rachel, but she had broken his heart he didn't want to see her...but even his broken heart had skipped a beat when he saw her standing inform of his home.

He could noise in the kitchen, probably Rachel not familiar with it was having a hard time locating this, he was too lazy to get up again. So he let her tour until she found what she needed.

His eyes had closed when he felt a soft nudge on his shoulder.

He looked up and Rachel was standing next to him.

She passed him a glass of water and the tablets.

He groaned getting up and taking them.

After he was done she passed him a fork but didn't take it.

"Am not that hungry, maybe later " he said moving to lay back down

Rachel held his arm not allowing him to lay down.

"You need to eat and Camilla told me to make sure you do," she said.

Ray frowned glaring at her. Rachel sighed seeing he wasn't going to comply. She pushed him over and sat next to him, then grabbed the fork and picked up some food.

"Ahh..." she said. He blinked twice and then looked down at the food. "Open your mouth, the food is getting cold," she said pushing the fork to his lips.

He opened taking it in, she moved to pick more food, and quietly fed him. He didn't protest and ate everything she fed him. she picked up the spoon and fed him the soup.

"Don't lay here it's uncomfortable, go to bed?" she said collecting the dishes to the kitchen.

He was silent but nodded getting up. She was busy tidying up the living room Rachel didn't notice Ray steal glances at her before he disappeared to his room.

She dried her hands after washing the dishes and placed the rest of the food in the refrigerator.

Her phone rang and she picked up.

"He's upstairs resting now," she said..."Okay, I will check on him..she smiled. "Don't worry I won't leave without making sure he's alright ".." Mmmm, take care " she hung up.

Minutes had passed since Ray went to his room. She walked up to his room and knocked but he didn't answer.

"Ray, Ray...are you sleeping," she asked.

Still, no answer so she walked in.

His room was different from the living room in color of white, everything was or had a hint of green. The wall, curtains, bedsheets and covers, lamps. She giggled.

It was like a mini forest, the only different thing was the figure laying under the green covers.

She quietly walked to where he was, placing her cool hand on his forehead. It was burning, she frowned and looked for his bathroom door.

She paused when the door opened, the bathroom was in another completely different color, blue, with the painting of sea life underwater. Giving one a feeling of being underwater with them.

She laughed then grabbed the blue towels and soaked them in water and moved back to the bed. She pulled away the covers, slept opened his shirt and wiped his face, soaked the towel again, and moved to his body.

He breathed. She paused putting away the towel. Seeing Jim comfortable now she placed back the covers and sat down, watching his sleeping face.

He wasn't arrogant or flirty now but looked more of a cute little bear....she found herself smiling thinking about it.

"Get better soon my cute bear " she murmured.

Later in the day, his sweating increased, and the medicine was taking its course. She made sure to wipe his body, looked in his closet and grabbed another shirt for him.

After hardly getting it over him, she sat back exhausted.

"You should stop working out, for now, I think my back is sprained with all the weight " she muttered.

She covered him and slid onto the couch in his room, watching over him.

Rachel had dozed off when some noise woke her up she sprung up on the couch looking around.

Ray was up trying to get out of bed.

She walked toward him, "What's wrong?" her hands held him.

He was unsteady and his eyes were still half closed.

"Bathroom " he murmured.

She lead him to his bathroom and waited outside.

He walked out after and they moved back to bed. Helping him drink some water she laid him back down.

"Hot..." he moved back up. She frowned. He swiftly pulled off the shirt she had struggled to put him in. Then dropped back down.

She sighed, "Okay I will get the towel " she walked back to the bathroom and soaked a towel.

Gently she passed it on his hot body, before she had not minded since all she thought about was helping him feel better but after she hesitated, admiring his muscles.

His temperature subsides and so did his fever, she felt relieved and finally relaxed again.

She fed him some porridge and added him more medicine, then left his room.

She finished tidying up his place left a note telling him to take his medicine and then eat something which just needed warming up. And left.
