Jack felt stupid being threatened with his hair, Camilla might be vicious but she couldn't harm her close ones.
He called Chris, hoping he wouldn't get angry for interrupting them.
"Jack, anything wrong at the company " Chris finally answers
"No, boss .everything's fine "
"Then why are you calling?"
Jack fell silent, Chris frowned and called his name.
"I have something to ask you and it is about her?" he stammered.
"About Camilla?" Chris asked.
"Mmm"
"Go ahead " Chris glanced at the sleeping Camilla. She had dozed off the moment they got on the plane.
"Would she harm anyone close if they hurt her feelings?" he asked.
Chris wondered why such a question seemed to bother Jack.
"While I don't know, her emotions nowadays are sensitive and on top of that she's a hot head so I think she wouldn't hesitate"
"Ohh, and if it was someone like me or let's say Alfred?" he asked.
"For Alfred, he had a taste of her wrath during their time together so I guess she can. And for you, I guess it would depend on what exactly you did " Chris kept his gaze on her sleeping face.
"Okay, I get it "
"Jack, why are you asking such questions did you do anything wrong to make Camilla angry?" Chris asked.
"No, No, no...I would not dare. Thank you, Boss, for your time enjoy your trip " he said hanging up.
If Alfred her close friend was beaten by her once then what would she do to him? Ray was always being hit, and his boss could not count how many times she had hit him.
His face turned even bluer when he remembered how she had threatened Chris and Ray to use a knife to make them stop fighting cause she had no scissors.
He looked down at the card Alfred had passed to him.
Why was he bothering him, was he bored now that Camilla was away to chat with him?
He remembered being told he was a doctor of something he never minded getting. He closely looked at the card.
"Dr.Alfred Goldber, Director of Heaven Sent Mental hospital " His number was right thereafter.
Jack dropped to his bed wondering what he was going to do next, it was just a drink, and then he would escape the harsh hands of Camilla.
He fell asleep thinking about it.
It was late in the evening when he woke up. He sent a text to Alfred who replied immediately.
("Hi, it's Jack ")
(" Hello ")
(" Meet me here in half an hour " ) he sent the address of the club.
He didn't wait for Alfred's reply and got up to get ready.
He decided to take his car since the club was a little far from his home.
Alfred had arrived already and smiled when he saw Jack park his car. He got out and Alfred froze.
Jack's black tall hair was held in a ponytail exposing his perfect jawline. His blue eyes were fierce as always. Jack was dressed in a blue suit with a black undershirt. He looked handsome that the girls heading to the club kept glancing back at him.
He walked to where Alfred was with a frown. "What are you looking at?"
Alfred smiled, "Nothing, your late," he said.
Jack sighed and walked past him leading to the club entrance. They got in and Jack chose a distant spot from the noise. Alfred followed and sat next to him.
"This seat is big can you extend the other side " Jack pushed Alfred. But he didn't move and ordered some drinks.
Jack was on his phone while Alfred was quiet watching him. They drank two rounds without saying a word.
Some girls came over to their seats giggling, "Can we join you, handsome men?"
Alfred frowned but Jack moved over to give them space. Accepting their request.
Alfred's gaze didn't leave Jack who seemed to be busy chatting with the girl next to him now. They were drinking as they laughed The girl next to Alfred gave up on getting his attention and moved away.
Jack got up and walked to the dance floor with the girl.
Jack had decided to have fun, he was on vacation with nothing to do. He knew the club cause they used to come with Chris and Ray in their free time or when Chris wanted advice about Camilla from the others.
His eyes kept moving to where Alfred was still sitting, he looked lonely but why did he care. He was having fun and this girl seemed to like him, he smiled and counted dancing.
Alfred had decided to play games on his phone to get distracted when Jack dropped back next to him.
He ordered more drinks.
"You should drink so that you don't say I didn't pay you," he said
Alfred nodded not looking up from his phone.
Jack kept drinking until the girl from earlier returned. They moved to the bar area and continued drinking.
After a few hours, Alfred checked the time, it was close to midnight. He got up grabbed both his coat and Jack then walked off. He has seen Jack go to the washroom so he waited in the corridor.
Jack stumbled out and Alfred held him.
"Your drunk," he said.
"Am not, let go " he said pushing Alfred's strong arms from him.
But he held on pulling Jack into a tight grip.
"It's time to leave " Alfred firmly said leading them out of the club.
He walked to the parking and frowned, which car was he going to use. Jack was in no condition to drive now.
"Let me go am not drunk " Jack still protested
Alfred chuckled, "That's what I drunk person would say "
He called for a driver to deliver his car home and then took Jack's car.
"Where do you stay so I drop you home," Alfred asked.
Jack was silent in the back seat.
Alfred sighed and picked up his phone.
"Sorry to bother you this late, but I need your help," he said.
