" For her Sake "

Camilla walked out of her apartment boiling with anger. Did she wake up in another dream, why of all people did Chris had to bring her home last night?

All she remembered was Ray running back inside to grab his things so he could take her back so how did turn out to be Chris.

And Ray must have looked for her if she went missing then why didn't he even call her. She looked down at her phone and frowned. Checking her call logs Rat had called her more than five times but what baffled her was the text sent to him.

"How come I don't remember sending this" she read closely what they said.

"Am okay, someone took me home " it said.

"That arrogant bastard sent this " she yelled. How could someone who had never been so close to her act like that around her all of a sudden?

She walked to the underground parking and saw her car. Ray had bought her keys with the breakfast. Placing the rest of the breakfast she had saved from being eaten by Chris, Camilla drove to work.

" Your late "Ben welcomed her.

"Morning guys had a weird morning," she said.

" Maybe you just drunk a lot last night" Rita bought her a cup of coffee.

"Thanks " she smiled at Rita, "Not really but something unbelievable happened to me"

Rita and the others ran to her side ready to listen.

Camilla laughed as she took a sip of her coffee.

"So you finally got a boyfriend " Ben blurted out.

Camilla choked on her coffee.

" Guess not " Ben commented making all the others walk away from Camilla.

" You guys keep treating me like that, but one of these days I will surprise you all" Camilla laughed.

She went to her office to start her daily work. Rita filled her on about last night and how they handled everything. She was her manager and also a chef.

Forgetting all that happened in the morning, Camilla moved on with her day normally.

Chris got dressed and finished his coffee.

"Are you alright, boss? "his driver asked looking at his swollen cheek.

Rubbing his hand on the swollen part, Chris smiled.

" Am okay, get the car ready "he said.

His driver left leaving him alone in the house.

"Until next time, little guy "Chris looked down at Snowy then walked out the door.

"That's the last order for the night" Rita passed Camilla the order.

Camilla soon passed the plate to the waiter, "Table 7 "she shouted.

Later, Ben and the waiters cleaned the tables after all the customers had left.

Camilla and Rita wherein her office

making records of the sales and lists of what had to be stocked again.

"What happened last night?" Rita asked.

Camilla sighed thinking about what happened.

"Am not sure myself " she placed down her pen.

"He was someone I never expected to see or share a room within my life "

"What do you mean?" Rita asked

Camilla ignored her friend's question and got up.

"Guys it's time to lock up " she announced.

Rita stared at her and sighed, " Just be careful about that whoever "she told Camilla.

"Don't worry I don't think I will see him again " Camilla closed all the books and put away the documents from her desk.

"Boss, Ray is here " Camilla heard Ben shout.

Camilla frowned but remembered Ray had promised to come to see her after work so they could talk about what happened.

"Ray, why are you late?"

Ray smile when he heard Camilla's voice.

"You guys can leave, Camilla and I will close up," he told Ben and the others.

As her staff left Camilla and Ray sat at one of the tables to talk.

"So tell me what happened, " Ray asked.

Camilla told her best friend all she remembered from that night.

" And when I woke up, he was there laying in ma living room asleep. He took a shower after me and that's when you came in "

"I was surprised to see a man half-naked in your living room " Ray let out.

"How do you think I felt when I saw him " She laughed.

Camilla told him how she had punched him in the face for eating her breakfast then stormed out.

Was it time to tell Camilla about her past or not . But her parents had forbidden it. He looked at her filled with confusion about why Chris was acting that way.

Even after that horrible accident, Ray couldn't believe that Camilla had forgotten the one person who had loved her like crazy.

He had forsaken his family just for her but she had forgotten him just like that. But for her own sake, Chris had to stay away.

"Just forget about it, for now, I don't think he will bother you again after that punch you threw at him ".

They closed up, Ray followed her to the car.

"Get home safe," he said closing the door for her.

"You too " she smiled driving off.
