Chapter 7: A visit to the CF

The pine trees surrounding the area danced from bigside to side to the music of nature. They created a rhythm that was only known to them. The fountain that stood at the centre of the courtyard of the foundation collided with the rays of the morning sun, emitting a colorful spectre.

A black Tesla pulled up in front of the fountain and a nice picture was made. A pair of black leather boots stuck out accompanied by a fair hand that held onto the car door. A young girl was seen after sometime. She stood beside the car and concealed her features with a pair of dark sunglasses. Her aura was of a different kind. A kind that made others want to bow to her. She looked powerful.

A man in grey suit stepped out of the building with a professional smile on his face.

"Welcome Miss" he greeted.

The young girl gave a slight nod.

"Our boss has been waiting for your arrival".

An unseen smirk marred the girl's face.

"Lead the way".

The man led her in, all the way to the top floor. They arrived at a hallway which led to the CEO's office.

On their way, Ariel scanned the entire surroundings with a sneer.

A wave of memories swarmed in, making her clench her teeth. She hated them all. Every single one of them.

"We're here", the man announced. Ariel returned to earth and flashed him a smile. The door was opened after the boss allowed them in.

A woman sat on a recliner with a fountain pen in her hand. She seemed too busy writing a report or marking them. She raised her head and her eyes met that of Ariel's.

Kiera seemed to have frozen. She didn't know why. The person standing behind her assistant had her features concealed but she didn't know why she seemed scared. She was scared.

"Young miss, this is one of the donors. She also wants to invest in this our latest project".

Kiera looked at Ariel from her head to her toes. Her heart calmed down a bit after Mr. Cornell's introduction.

"You may leave", she said.

Mr. Cornell nodded and left respectfully.

Kiera stood and gestured Ariel towards the sofa.

"Welcome to CF NGO". Her voice sounded a bit mechanical.

Ariel nodded and sat down. She crossed her leg.

"It's very nice to invest in your company", she said.

Kiera smiled and sat opposite her.

"CF has been trying it's best over the years".

Ariel sneered.

"As your assistant had said, I want to invest in your company".

Kiera nodded.

"An investment of how much?"

"12 billion dollars".

Kiera's eyes widened. She couldn't react for a while. Ariel smirked at her inwardly.

You don't even know what's coming for you Kiera

"However" Ariel continued, "I want to be a shareholder in your company".

Kiera stiffened. She looked at Ariel with slanted eyes.

She wants to be the largest shareholder of the company?? Who's this person anyway??

"If you're not interested, I can leave right away".

Ariel concluded and was about to stand.

"Wait".
