I didn't think that it was possible to change every last aspect of my life, but Kevin did it, quite easily at that. He, Elizabeth and I aren't even my full siblings. We all had different mothers, but the same father. Kevin's mother was a witch, who had seduced our father in an attempt to stop him from executing her. It didn't work because after Kevin was born, she was killed a week later.

Elizabeth was the only one amongst us who was born by our "mother" and father, she was the truest noble amongst us. I asked him about my real mother. The only thing he knew was that she was a powerful sorceress and left me at the palace steps a few months after my birth. Father knew Kevin and I were sorcerers, but Kevin convinced him not to treat me the way he treated him.

Our father had sent Kevin away when he married Elizabeth's mother. He was only two years old. Merlin found him and trained him in the ways of magic, alongside Zephyr. They practically grew up together and even fell in love. They had planned to live quietly in the countryside, until my father called him back to the palace. He didn't see Zephyr again until the night he died.

Merlin had given Kevin a powerful ring that could manifest hate and told him to protect it with his life, so he hid it in the palace. The day before his coronation, Zephyr broke in, killed him and stole the ring. We figured out that he waited for the countries at their economic peaks. As the sun began to rise, Kevin told me, "One that is pure of heart doesn't taint their heart with the blood of their enemies.

I woke up and heard voices outside. I went out to see who it was, and Merlin and Arthur had returned.
