PROLOGUE

'aaaaaaahhhhhh'

This was the sound that woke me up on that drastic day, the day my life took a sharp turn towards the absolute worst.

My sister was bathing when the shower glass shattered all around her. Seconds later, the heater in the bathroom blew alongside all the electronic devices in my house; sockets, light bulbs, microwaves, kettles, phones, anything that had wires and circuits in them.

The first wave of the most drastic electromagnetic wave in history had just begun. My dad was conducting a huge underground experiment and something went wrong, making my house the center of it all. Until this day, I don't know how I survived.
