Called To Another World

Ron is living a completely normal life with his friends until they're all summoned to another world as its heroes. It's good that death isn't permanent for them, but these high school students were given a really big responsibility! But that's not all, it seems that this is something bigger than simply being summoned to another world... This web version makes some improvements here and there but because of when it started, it may be a bit rough.) A few sections were written by my friend LOTWarrior117 and the original four stories were edited by him. Some parts of the story were written based on suggestions by ChromeDeer, another friend of mine. Also, the glossary (https://www.scribblehub.com/series/195239/called-to-another-world/glossary/) contains spoilers.

Into The Forest

-Ron's POV-

All of us, including that hooded person, walked outside and into the forest, from which I first appeared in this world. Jon was leading our group. The forest was dark and wet. There were some spider webs and tree stumps and… blood. I tried not to look because the sight of too much blood creeps me out.

"I can control myself." I thought.

"You better control yourself." said Timothy.

"Ack!" I exclaimed, "Oh, that's right. I remember hearing something about mediums being able to read minds. Jon failed to mention anything about this."

"If you freak out too much, someone or something will come after us." said Timothy.

"If that does happen, I'll be using my shovel!" said Daniel.

"Where are we going?" asked Harold.

"We are headed for Dragon Fortress." answered Jon.

"I don't think I trust this guy…" said Jason.

"Why can't I be an archer!?" exclaimed Kevin.

"Fine," Jon said with frustration as he threw a bow at Kevin, "however, it will not change your title. Also, get your own arrows!"

I may have been imagining it, but it seemed as though the hooded figure was... laughing. We continued walking and it felt like were doing it for hours, or maybe even years! We eventually encountered a long, tall brown fence. Jason cut a hole in it with his sword, which we all went through immediately after. There was a golden path and down the path we went. A large castle-like structure was found was found at the end of the path.

There was a guard there, whispering to himself. He was wearing armor that covered most of his body, so we could only see a little bit of his face. I could at least tell that he had brown eyes, dark brown hair and a bit of stubble on his chin.

"It's been several pages and I don't get to do anything interesting yet," was all I could hear him say.

"Shh… quiet." instructed Jon, as he hid behind a bush and signaled for us to do the same.

"I'll distract him," said Eric as he threw a penny.

"Oh hey, a penny." the guard said, "Today must be my lucky day."

Jon angrily stared at Eric for a few seconds.

"What?" said Eric, "Throwing a penny isn't racist or anything."

Before he knew it, the rest of us ran in, leaving him behind.

-Eric's POV-

"What the hell? They were going to let me die from the start, weren't they!?" I thought.

I planned to have my revenge but I needed to focus on that guard.

"Hey, sir!" I shouted, "What's your name?"

"Emmet," he answered, "guard and licensed fourth-wall breaker."

"I just have to say that… I love you!" I said.

"Oh crap, wrong choices of words," I thought.

Emmet pulled out a knife, then I turned around and ran. I tried and tried to pick up speed, but before I knew it, I felt something sharp go into my back. I shouted in pain before I fell to the ground. I failed our mission. I had a failed a mission that had barely started.
