Chapter 3 - Hidden Above The Peak of the Mountain 3/3

It has been three days since Fenrir gave birth. We haven't resumed our journey but today we will continue.

"They grow so fast huh..."

It's only been three days but they are already half as big as their parents! What monstrosity is this?

The flying wolves honestly more look majestic than a pegasus. Especially if they have sky blue color with a mix of silverish.

About the horned wolves. They can be described as a bruiser or tank-type monsters. They look more muscled than the rest of their family.

While the extra-tailed wolves can use magic... With their three tails, I have confirmed in the past two days that they can control fire, water, and air.

I have a feeling that they can control more elements when they will grow more tails. I am confident in my theory that there is a huge chance for them to grow more tails.

I don't want to treat them as mere pawns but I'll need them to work for me. It will also make them powerful so it's a win-win trade. It's one of my dreams to have an army but not humans, but instead, beasts.

We decided to continue our journey with me leading my pets. Behind me are the puppies? I don't even consider them puppies anymore because they are quite huge now, are behaving while trailing behind me, and at the very back are the parents, Apollo and Fenrir.

I decided to play my flute, like a parade, to amuse the newly born wolves while exploring this world.

I also have the ability as a Battle Bard. The skills to strengthen allies while weakening the enemies through music, also my kind of forte.

Thankfully, as a week passed by, our journey went smooth with no piglike-headed monsters blocking our way. Maybe they are scared about the mana these wolves leaking out from their body.

I should begin to craft some armors for these wolves, I will use the materials of the monsters I killed back at the top of the mountain. Sadly, if I have the title Saint Beast Tamer back then, I could have tamed the Divine Griffins. I can return anytime though, but this is enough for now.

We resumed our small parade, using the flute, I played the tune that can regenerate stamina at a fast pace. This won't let us constantly stop our journey traveling because I'm so excited about meeting humans in this world, or what master told me, that there are also other races such as elves, dragonkin, demons, etc.

There are overall hundreds of continents in this world with millions of Islands to be explored. That's what master told me. A very large world indeed that is so much to explore and secrets to be unveiled.

"We finally entered the forest huh?"

I raised my hand and halted the wolves that were following me. If normal people would travel, it will take then half a month to come down from the peak of the mountain but it isn't the same for us. We can travel continually without resting and even sleeping while moving at a very fast pace and with support from my flute, everything seems in control.

"The mana here is scarce..."

I noticed that the mana here isn't similar at the top. Is that the reason monsters in this area are somewhat weak while the monsters at the top were the apex of the food chain? Even the trees around us wobbled as if they are scared by our presence...

"Let's continue."

I did a hand gesture to continue our journey and using my mana, I glimpsed at the monsters around us, but this time, instead of coming towards us, they somehow run away from us.

"Damn! My monster cores!"

A sigh escaped my lips as I lamented the loss of so many monster cores. I hope what I currently have will suffice my living expenses in the kingdom. I honestly don't know the price of each monster cores I have.

I also need a huge area for my pets. Because I didn't plan to stop just by having wolves. With the Saint Beast Tamer title, I can breed monsters from their different species without genetic issues or difficulties.

Instead, my breeding will cause mutations, making them stronger with an upgrade of different variant colors. I'm excited to see a flaming griffin, to be honest.

Looking behind me, I spoke. "Are you ready to explore a new world ahead of us?" I smile formed on my lips seeing the wolves with a joyful behavior. Their tails won't stop wagging.

Fenrir and Apollo walked towards me as they lowered their heads, then, a few seconds later, they began to howl.

"Awooooooo!!!"

With the first howl, the rest followed that caused an ear-piercing sound while the ground began to shake, the air around us got stronger while the trees and flowers were hurled away everywhere. It's as if a tornado struck this location.

I didn't stop them from their howling, even I felt motivated by the sound of their cries.

With that, we resumed our journey with ease. The forest is humongous, but it won't expend more days though like back in the mountains.

Suddenly, while continuously using my mana. I perceived something unusual.

"A camp, about a thousand of monsters but the same species. It's not the same as the pigheaded monsters and most of them have no mana. Wait... Humans?"

The moment my mana scanned the whole area, humans were there, about hundreds of them.

"Fenrir, Apollo, let's observe for now."

These two were about to charge as they sense how my emotion changed.

"Let's go..."

Using my mana, I began to use stealth magic to lessen our presence. Even the humans I inspected have mana but not comparable to my weakest wolf. It's like comparing heaven and earth.

"Now then. Let us see what humans in this world are capable of..."
