Chapter 8

Isabella Martini - POV

I lunged at the nearest rogue and took a big bite off his shoulder, making him roughly push me to the side. He was bleeding presumably, so I attacked him once more. I faked a move toward his right paw and grabbed his throat as I tore it. Just as he fell limp on the floor, I saw the other two rogues glare at me when they charged at me together.

It was not easy to fight two males, but I did manage to create some serious damage to them while they had also done the same to me. My front leg was broken, and one of them managed to take a bite off my throat, making it bleed. My vision was starting to blur, and I knew that I would not be able to hold on for long. I backed off and tried to attack them again, but my movements were sloppy.

A vicious smirk appeared on the wolves' faces when my leg got tackled on a branch and I fell to the ground. Searing pain shot through my back leg as I fell and I had a feeling that I might have broken too many bones. "I am sorry, Bella." I heard Rose's distant voice when I involuntarily shifted back to my human form. I immediately curled into a ball to try and cover my naked body, and right then, the two rogues shifted as well.

They were as equally injured as me, and this brought in a little satisfaction. "We thought of only having a little fun with you, but after what you did to our friend." he paused as he looked towards the lifeless body of the other rogue. "We are going to fuck you till you bleed to death." he sneered as he walked toward me and grabbed my hair in a tight grip.

As they pulled me away, I felt the tears flow down my cheeks with the excruciating pain from my scalp. "Quick, we need to cross the border before someone comes." the second rogue said, and just when we were crossing the border, I heard one of the most furious growls. All three of us turned around when we saw three huge wolves standing there.

The rogue roughly pushed me to the floor, making me knock my head on a sharp rock. I didn't stay awake long to see what happened as my heart rate gradually decreased, and the darkness consumed me.

Beta Jacob Yale - POV

The rogues were already injured, so they didn't put up much of a fight as I and my warriors killed them. "Beta Yale, what should we do about this female rogue?" one of my warrior's minds linked me, and that was when my attention turned toward the woman.

The dirt around her was becoming moist and turning a darker color as her blood coated the dry floor. My eyes darted back to the dead rogues again. She did put up a good fight and even managed to kill one.

"She might be dangerous. She doesn't look helpless to me." Darius, my wolf, said and I know that we should be wary about her.

"Take her to the prison hospital and get her treated. Once she wakes up, put her in prison." I commanded the warriors and they nodded their heads. One of them shifted back and moved toward the woman, and carried her as he walked back into the pack.

I circled the pack borders to make sure there were no other intruders before I ran back to the pack. As I reached the plain concrete building, I shifted back and quickly put on a pair of boxers, pushed the metal door, and walked inside. Just like the outside, the inside was also plain as I walked down the dimly lit hallway.

As I reached the last door in the hallway, I pushed it open without a second thought and walked inside. There was a small hospital bed in the center and a tray next to it with bottles of medicines and other equipment that were needed for first aid. "Beta Yale." the pack doctor immediately bowed at me, and I nodded my head as I walked closer to the bed to see the woman was sound asleep.

"When will she wake up?" I asked him.

"It would take a few hours. Her wounds were deep, and it seemed like she had been running for a long time." this news made a frown appear on my face. "And I also noticed there were other wounds and bruises that looked like a day or two old."

"Mind link me when she wakes up."

"Sure, Beta Yale." the doctor said as he bowed at me, and I walked out of there.

Who is this woman?

I started making my way back to the pack house, when I walked inside, I was about to head upstairs to my floor when my stomach grumbled. I looked at the time on the grandfather clock, that was kept in the hallway, which read that it was past three pm.

I guess I will have to make my own food.

I walked down the hallway and took a sharp right when I entered the huge industrial kitchen. Except for a few omegas cleaning the kitchen, there was no one else. I walked further inside and took a seat on the barstool, and soon, an omega rushed to my side and bowed her head at me. "Beta Yale." she stammered while her eyes were cast on the floor.

"Get me something to eat," I told her in a monotone, and for a second, her eyes widened in shock before she nodded her head and quickly ran out of there. A sliver of a smile formed on my face before I quickly masked it with an indifferent look.

How does Arlo even do this?

I couldn't hold back that smile when I saw her scramble away.

Speaking of Arlo, I think I should inform him about this recent rogue invasion. I took my phone out and dialed his number. The phone rang for a long time before he finally picked it up.

"What?" I heard him growl from the other end, which made a smile break out on my face.
