Andrew

Oh…shit. I had completely forgotten that I was still holding the sword. But now, there was a lady on it.

“You have defeated Christie Edgewood. Congratulations.” I heard.

I only heard the clang of metal as I dropped the sward. The rest was blurred. I had killed someone. Yes, it was in self-defence. But…I got rid of someone's life. That lady probably had so much going for her too and I just ended that. I’m now a horrible person. I had a human's blood. On my hands. In games, this was fun and cool because I knew it was fake. But this…there was a human being on my sward.

Blood was dripping everywhere. It was on my hands and my pants. After a few moments, the blood started to clean itself and the lady was disintegrating. Like when Thanos snapped his fingers. A notebook dropped from her. Surprisingly it wasn’t covered in blood. That was the only reason I picked it up.

It was boring looking with a leather cover and lined pages inside. Once I opened the book a pen dropped from somewhere. It was just a crappy ballpoint pen that the teachers give us at the beginning of tests. The ones that stop working halfway through?

The was a page that said to write a question. So I wrote mine.

“What’s going on?” I wrote.

“Question is unanswerable please ask a valid question.” That was the response I got.

So I couldn’t ask about what was happening. Only the character's actual mystery…great.

“How do you know the guy that died?” I wrote.

“Why, I worked with Mr Jacobson. Though I also helped when his wife Mis…I forgot her name wasn’t good enough for him.” Came a woman's voice.

Her voice sounded like those evil stepmothers. Slow and drawling like she couldn’t care less what happened. She didn’t care about his wife. This woman was horrible. She still didn’t deserve to die. Maybe she could've turned her life around? I hate this place and everything in it. If I had to kill someone every turn…I don’t think I will be able to last this.
