13 Chapter 013 Marriage Proposal!!

Patty looked tired, she clean her glasses and then took a bite of her lunch. To be exact it was her third lunch, in other words Patty was so busy she had to stop her lunch. It happens so much lately that it's her new normal. Her hot tea was cold, she didn't mind it. Just when she was about to sip her tea.....the phone rang she put her tea down "Good afternoon, this is Patty how can I direct your call?" she waited then was about to repeat herself, that's when a sweet voice blur out "Tita (auntie) can I come over?? My big brother wont pick up his cell phone!" cryed the little boy. "Oh.... its you Jin Jin, your big brother is in a meeting. I will tell him you called, don't come over by yourself. Your too young to come over alone." Patty reminded the young boy as he sighted a long "Oooookay...Tita....." The seven year old boy hang up. He then pulled out some money from his hat (inside of the hat was a hidden pocket). A soft smile came over him.

Now Patty could drink her tea and it had to be fast, becouse she had to mail some letters. She set up her letters and envelopes. First she folded her letters in thirds, then she put them all in black envelopes. Patty didn't lick the envelopes close, instead she used a wet brush. It was much faster, and who would want to lick hundreds of envelopes every week. She then printed labels for domestic and International addresses. Patty took out a canvas bag. Before dropping in the envelopes she bunch them and put a rubber band around them. She then walk to the entrance of the building and hang the canvas bag for the mailman. She did this because she didn't had time to chit chat with the mailman all day. Patty was in her late 30's, single and busy with work. Going out, dating, meeting someone or even flirting was the last thing she had in her mind right now.

Bambi sat quietly as Leo Lee held the contract in his left hand. She could see his golden eyes scanning the pages, his eyebrows would frown ever so slightly. The office was warm since the A/C was broken, making Bambi feel dizzy (or maybe she was just nervous).

As Leo Lee read the contract he could feel Bambi's concerned stare. He was getting uncomfortable becouse he could feel his stomach wanting to growl. Bambi's visit was unexpected that meant no lunch. In the morning he had a cup of black coffee. Leo Lee wasn't a fan of sweets so no cream or sugar for his coffee. Then he remember... where is that woman (Vanessa)?? How come she hasn't come back? He had only asked for some water!!

Patty turn to look at the office door.....still close. Who was Leo Lee talking to?? Patty called an errand boy to get her a case of cold water bottles. The errand boy came back in five minutes with there usual brand of water, nothing grand just plain water. Patty walk over to Pedro (Miguel Zoto de Rodríguez) and Juan (Carlos Alfonso Zoto Sánchez) who where done with their projects. "Mr. Pedro, did Mr. Lee get someone to invest in our company? He has been in the office for 45 minutes now." Patty said as she handed the pair of cousins some water. Taking the water Perdo looked up on the second floor "Patty, Leo Lee is talking with Miss Bambi Verba right now."

Pefffff! Water got spit out of Patty's mouth!! Missing Pedro and Juan by an inch. "Waaaa!!! Patty's shock face looked like she won the lottery. "Miss Verba is here??? Right now??" the two young men nodded a yes. "Why didn't you say so! Is Miss Vanessa in there helping Mr. Lee??" the two young men shook their head sideways... no....as they drank thire water. Then a wave of questions hit does two...."What is the occasion?? Did Miss Verba come alone?? Have they had lunch?? Did she ask for anything to drink?? Do we have wine?" the questions would of kept on going if Pedro didn't intervene. "Patty why dont you go meet her.... Vanessa was supposed to bring water to Miss Bambi and Leo Lee, but she hasn't come back..... in all this time." Pedro turn to look at his cousin "Si, (yes) I bet she got lost!" Juan roll his eyes, he didn't fancy Vanessa and was not afraid to show it.

Leo Lee put down the contract, he then took a deep breath. "I see that a lot effort was put into this contract. I agree with the terms. There is something that I do think I would like to discuss with you." Leo Lee was very serious. Bambi then took out a pen and notebook. "You have some concerns Mr. Lee and that is normal I would like to go ahead and try to work with you." Bambi said in a friendly tone. "Am gald you can be accommodating to what we need to put out our best work. I have five main issues. One: the building needs to be remodel and updated to safety standards. Two: we need new equipment that can keep up with the work we do, I mean we need equipment that can be use for large projects. Three: a NEW and QUALIFIED project manager. Four: more direct communication with your company." Leo Lee said with confidence. Bambi wrote it down, as she was waiting the fifth issue..... did her notebook just move?..... she felt her gaze getting heavy... she try her best to look alert. "And your fifth issue Mr. Lee?? Bambi asked. "Am looking for a wife, a marriage proposal would be nice." Leo Lee said in a husky voice. Bambi ears starting to ring, she felt heavy and what did this man say? A wife? She must of heard wrong... as she wanted to ask this man to repeat himself.....who turn off the lights? She asked herself, as she fainted.
