As the sun began to sink towards the horizon at the beach, it bathed the shore in a gentle golden hue. With only a few people around, since the place was quite secluded, a couple in their middle years strolled along the water's edge.
Sofia, a beautiful woman in her middle age, wore a loose sun dress that highlighted her charm. She glanced at her husband, James, a mature and good-looking man whose stoic expression melted as he gazed at his wife.
"Husband, it's your fault that our son has become such a workaholic," Sofia expressed, her voice tinged with frustration.
Perplexed, James replied, "What do you mean? How is it my fault?"
"He is just like a second version of you, always buried in work and lacking in emotional warmth. Do you know how much I've worried? He doesn't even spare a second glance for any women. I worry about him being alone," Sofia poured out her emotions, her voice quivering.
"Don't worry, my love. He will find someone he likes, just like I found you," James reassured her, his affectionate gaze fixed upon Sofia. Overwhelmed by his tenderness, Sofia blushed and averted her eyes.
As James leaned in to kiss his wife, a sudden crash of a massive wave startled them. The atmosphere shifted abruptly as darkness descended, and the wind picked up intensity. They both turned their attention to a commotion near a large rock.
To their surprise, they found a young woman in her twenties lying unconscious on the beach. Her strawberry blonde hair spread over the sand, and her fair skin made her look almost ethereal. James and Sofia exchanged glances.
"Let's go and see what happened to her," Sofia urged, her concern evident in her voice. They hurriedly made their way toward the motionless girl.
Sofia checked her vital signs and was relieved to find that she was breathing steadily. Sofia furrowed her brows, trying to make sense of the situation. They certainly hadn't noticed her presence before.
"Let's get her to a doctor," Sofia suggested She glanced at her husband, silently urging him to help.
With reluctance, James lifted the unconscious girl into his arms. Holding another woman felt odd, but as he looked at the girl's delicate face, he couldn't help but wonder what their own daughter might have looked like if they had one. Unfortunately, he only has a son.
