Chapter Sixty Nine

"Sorry I'm late!" A familiar voice called out, ending the light conversation, you turned around your mouth filled with bread seeing Midoriya walking into the room.

"Young Midoriya?" All Might was confused, "What are you doing here?"

"What do you mean?" Inko asked, "This is my son-"

"Wait what!?" All Might stood. "You-You are his-!?"

"What's going on?" Midoriya asked, looking to you for answers, seeing as the two parents were busy piecing the puzzle together.

"I would take a seat." You answered.

"Do you two know each other Toshi?" Inko questioned All Might.

"Ah-" Midoriya looked at you then to his mentor. "-why did you tell me to come here Mom?" Was Midoriya in trouble? What did he do now!?

"Because I wanted you to meet the friend, I have been spending time with and we thought it was time we all got to know one another." Inko answered, Midoriya Instantly flashed his eyes to you, knowing you would spell out what was really going on.

You raised your hands creating air quotes.

"Friends." You smirked as two and two fell together inside Midoriya's head

"You two already know one another?" Inko asked, looking to All Might then her son.

"Ah well-!" Midoriya breathed, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Toshi does work at UA." You butted in.

"Oh yeah!" Inko realized, "You probably would have known my son! I should have told you my previous last name-"

"Wait!" Midoriya gasped, "You-You are who my mother has been spending all this time with!?"

"Ah-well-it seems so..." All Might rubbed the back of his neck; you flickered your eyes from your soon to be adopted father to Midoriya. You could see where this green-haired mop learned a lot of his traits.

"Are-Are you to like...dating!?"

"Uh well-" Inko looked to All Might, "-we haven't really placed a label-"

"Yes." All Might declared, surprising everyone including you.

"What!?" Midoriya gasped.

"Well then-" Inko blushed, "-I guess we are then."

"What an interesting night." You smirked, enjoying the show. "Can we eat?"

"I-I have so many questions!"

"Really?" You turned to Midoriya, "What is there to ask? They are dating, big deal."

"You're ok with this (y/n)?" All Might reached out touching your hand.

"Why wouldn't I be?" You flashed a smile,

"I just don't want you to think that since there is a new woman in my life that you're going to be pushed aside."

"I would never allow that to happen!" Inko gasped, "I love (y/n)! She is the sweetest girl, the fact we didn't realize our kids knew each other is hilarious!" All Might smiled at Inko before turning back to you, he squeezed your hand letting you know you were still number one in his life; no one could replace you.

"Let's eat then!" All Might cheered, the nerves about how you were reacting to him dating were gone.

Midoriya was left in a shocked silence, looking from his mother to the idol he has always looked up to and then to you. His heart sank inside his chest, his mother and your adopted father were dating...that meant...if things were to get serious and they were to be married, you would be his stepsister!

"Excuse me." Midoriya rose from his chair quickly leaving the room and everyone in it confused.

"Izuku!" Inko called after him, "I am so sorry-"

"It's alright."

"Excuse me." Inko stood, calling after her son again.

Outside the cool air touched his face as Midoriya took deep breaths, looking up at the stars.

"Izuku!" Inko called walking down the steps, "That was very rude!"

"I-I am sorry mom I just...I can't-!"

"What?" Inko blinked, "I know it may seem a little weird for me to be with another man-"

"It's not that mom!" Midoriya snapped, "It-It's the fact of who you are dating!"

"I-I don't understand. Toshi is a great man-"

"I love her!" Midoriya snapped, his heart breaking as tears filled his eyes as he watched his chances of every being with you quickly crumble.

"You love...(y/n)?"

"Now you're dating her father and I-I-"

"Oh Izuku-" Inko rushed over, wrapping him into a tight hug. "-I am so sorry, I didn't know! If...if you need, I won't see Toshi anymore!"

"What!?" Midoriya gasped looking up to his mother, he could see past the fragile mask she wore at the pain she felt saying those words.

"No mom..." Midoriya muttered, "...that isn't right." How could he be so selfish he would place his needs before his own mothers?

"But-"

"You really care about him; I can see that." Midoriya wrapped his arms around his mom. "I could never ask you to break up with the only man you have ever felt something for after all these years..."

"But Izuku-"

"I'll be ok mom." Midoriya faked a smile,

"But you love-"

"It's just a crush mom-" Midoriya waved, "-besides, she is my best friend."

"Izuku-"

"Come on-" Midoriya sniffed, wiping his face clear of tears. "-let's go back inside."

"Are you sure Izuku?"

"Yeah." Midoriya faked a smile. "I am sure."

"Well...alright then..."

Midoriya was silent most of the night, stealing precious glances at you who seemed to be laid back and casual. How were you not freaking out that Midoriya's mother and All Might were dating!? Midoriya questioned how you always held yourself so together all the time. Why couldn't he be like that?

The night ended early for you, after dinner you hugged Inko, congratulating her and All Might on their new relationship before going up to your bedroom.

Flopping on the large bed you sighed, you have missed this room. After changing you flipped the tv on and crawled into bed. After a sleepy hour a knock sounded on your door. You thought it to be All Might, who after saying goodnight to his guests was coming to check in on you.

But it wasn't Toshi, it was Midoriya who held his eyes to the floor.

"You good?" You asked, Midoriya snapped his eyes upward, not hearing you open the door.

"H-Hey-!" He instantly blushed seeing you in baggy shorts and a loose shirt.

"You ok?"

"Y-Yeah, I just...wanted to talk."

"Well come in."

"I-Into your room?"

"No the bathroom." You rolled your eyes.

"Sorry." Midoriya blushed following you into the dimmed room. "What were you doing." You looked to the tv then to him.

"Baking." You replied, Midoriya smiled.

"Sorry."

"You apologize a lot." You pointed out sitting on the bed. "So, what did you want to talk about?"

"I-Well-Sorry-!"

"Will you sit down?" You patted the space next to your bed, the same place Bakugo eyed as his. "You're making me nervous."

"R-Right!" Midoriya climbed into the place beside yours, his face hot as he felt your soft sheets.

"So, what's up?" You asked glancing back to the tv screen which dimly lit the room.

"I just wanted to see how you were doing."

"With what?" You turned your head.

"What do you mean with what!?" Midoriya outburst. "Our parents are dating!"

"And?" You shrugged.

"And!?"

"They are two grown adults, I don't feel like it's my place to say that is wrong or not."

"But...isn't it a little weird for you?"

"I don't know." You shrugged. "I'm still getting used to the idea of just having a parent."

"Right..."

"Look-" You looked at him, "-I don't know how this is going to work out, but I do know your mom is a really great person. I like her and I think she will be good to him."

"Do you think she knows who he is?"

"That I do not know." You replied, "I was being careful with that I said because I didn't know. I was just as blindsided as you were tonight."

"You could have sent me a warning you know."

"What fun would that have been?" You smirked, making Midoriya laugh. "Why did you freak out and leave for a bit?"

"I-I ah...just needed to clear my head."

"Is it weird seeing your mom with someone-?" You wondered, "-that isn't your dad?"

"I don't really remember him all that much so not really I guess...I was just surprised it was All Might."

"Yeah." You shrugged, "It's a small world after all."

"I guess so."

"What are they doing downstairs?"

"Watching tv." Midoriya shrugged, "I felt like a third wheel."

"Ha-" You laughed, "-sorry for leaving you alone. I was just tired."

"No that's ok!" Midoriya grinned, "I-I know you're still healing and all from the summer camp."

"My leg is fine." You groaned.

"What are you watching?" Midoriya pointed to the tv.

"I don't know." You shrugged, "I kind of dozed off."

"D-Did I wake you up!?"

"Nah." You waved, "You wanna watch something?"

"Like in-in here!?"

"Where else would we go?"

"I-I mean yeah!" Midoriya breathed, his heart pounding inside his chest. "We can watch that supernatural show you like."

"Ah..." You pulled your lips together, "...I kinda just watch that show with B."

"Oh?" Midoriya blinked, "Really?"

"Yeah."

"That sounds nice..."

"We could have our own show we watch together." You suggested.

"Really!?" Midoriya brightly grinned, loving the idea of the two of you having your own inside jokes.

"Yeah." You shrugged, "There is this one show that does seem interesting."

"Oh?"

"Yeah." You nod flicking to it, "I think it's called the only murder or something?" You muttered searching for the show. Midoriya watched in amazement, he studied every inch of your face, his eyes grazed down your neck onto your collar bone. "That ok?" You asked turning to him, his face instantly grew red.

"Y-Yeah!" Midoriya stuttered.

"Are you cold or something?" You laughed seeing him jump.

"A-A little bit!" Midoriya played off.

"There is literally an entire comforter in front of you." You rolled your eyes. Midoriya's face was bright red as he pushed his legs under your blanket, the same one you were under. His heart was pounding as he laid his head on the soft pillow. His eyes never brushed over the tv screen; he couldn't stop himself from staring at you.

You laid on your side, facing away from him. Your breathing was slow, telling him you fell asleep. Midoriya's eyes soon grew droopy, the feel of your warmth beside him was enough to push him over the cliff falling into a deep sleep.

"Are we ok with this?" Inko looked up to All Might, the two adults gazed into your bedroom at their sleeping kids in the same bed.

"Hm." All Might didn't know how to feel, he trusted Midoriya, so much he passed his quirk onto him. But seeing him in the same bed as you boiled his blood.

"Izuku did say-" Inko breathed, "-that she was his best friend."

"He did?" All Might looked over to her.

"Yeah." Inko nodded, "I haven't heard him say that since he was just a little boy."

"Oh?"

"Back when he and Katsuki were close friends." Inko informed, "I think they are fine; we should leave them be."

"Do you think?"

"Yeah." Inko smiled, "Plus, I don't want to stir (y/n) awake, you said she heals faster when she sleeps?"

"Yeah." All Might nodded, "I suppose we can leave them for tonight, then have a talk with them in the morning."

"Yes." Inko nodded.

"So-" All Might smirked looking down at the green haired woman, "-you're spending the night?"

"I-I suppose so."

"Whatever are we going to do to pass the time?"

You opened your eyes; the room was pitch black. You rubbed your face, the tv must have automatically shut off. You felt movement behind you, turning around you saw Midoriya. For a split second you were confused.

Right!

You guys were watching that show, you must have fallen asleep. You reached over, picking up your cell. It was four in the morning; you noticed a text message from Bakugo:

'I'll be there at six.'

You felt yourself smiling; a rush of excitement flowed through you as you placed your phone on the table beside the bed. You laid your head back on the pillow as your mind raced with all the ways tomorrow could go for your very first date with none other than Katsuki Bakugo.
