Chapter 26: Her lovely kiddo

Pradeep loved Arthi very much. For Arthi he was her own kid brother who used to run behind her. He was her kiddo and she was his sista. They had very special bond which he never had with his own siblings.

Pradeep had seen his sista cry silently when his brother and sister pulling a pranks on her. He disliked them very much when he showed his displeasure in it even they scolded him.

As he grew up there was some kind invisible bridge between them he kind of kept his distance from them even now he hardly speaks with them.

Pradeep and Divya were best friend in childhood. They used to stick together always, but soon everything changed. Intially both loved to spend their timewith Arthi. Then suddenly Divya started changing, she started to get close with Maya assigns started to bully Arthi.

Pradeep didn't like it when she was also pulling pranks on Arthi along with his siblings. Pradeep tried to talk to Divya but she didn't listen to him and shrugged at him.

When Pradeep started to ignore Divya, she could bare it anymore. One day when she couldn't take his ignorance, she started to bad mouth about Arthi infront of Maya and Suresh. She also told a lot of bad things which she listened from her mom.

Divya even cursed Arthi and called her a jinx who destroyed her friendship with Pradeep. Pradeep who was listening to all this couldn't hold back anymore shouted at her. Divya fell on the ground broke when he pushed her told her that their friendship is over and asked her not talk to him.

As per Atharv he always liked him and respected him very much, but when he got to know what he has done with his sista in the name of friendship joining hands with his siblings. He wanted to beat the shit out of him started to hate him. Eventually stopped all the contacts with him.

FLASH BACK

When Pradeep went to London five year's back for his studies he met Arthi and Sid accidently in a café. Pradeep was so excited to meet his sista after long time, he talked a lot to her non stop.

Suddenly he started to talk about Atharv. Pradeep kept saying a lot about him, how Atharv is concerned about her. How keeps pestering elders and tries to know about her where abouts, Atharv says that he misses his best friend company and her cooking.

Pradeep also mentioned Arthi about how he hired a private investigator to know about her. Hearing all this Arthi loses her sanity and shouts at Pradeep for first time...

Stop it! Stop taking his name for God sakes.

After saying this she rushes out of the café with tears in her eyes. Leaving Sid and Pradeep alone in the café, Pradeep was very shocked to see his sista very vulnerable how she couldn't control her emotions. This is the first he saw Arthi in this condition.

Seeing Arthi`s outbreak Sid pats on Pradeep hands and says...

Pradeep your sista had gone through a lot of things which you don't know about. Many people had hurt and broke her trust. The persons who she trusted a lot and loved them where the only one who had completely broken her. They are none other than your family members and so called best friend Atharv. She was kind of lost herself and shattered into such an extent, she still get nightmares about it. She cries and pleads for help in her dreams, she was not able to sleep without pills for more than two years.

What are saying Sid? What happen to sista? Why is she having nightmares?

You were kid back then so you don't know many things she had gone through. Even if she had said to you back then, probably you couldn't understand. Have you ever thought why your grandpa and no one knew where she is? Why she has kept contact with you only through mails and asked you to not to mention about her to anyone. Why she never mentioned you about her location? She knew if you know about her location you will definitely try to meet her and in excitement you may even mention to your family.

Pradeep thinks for a while because he knew no one spoke about Arthi and her mom, they always told it's a taboo to talk about them. So he never asked about her to anyone.

Pradeep remembers how his siblings and Divya used to bully her. How she used cry, hug him and tell that she is not crying and some dust went into her eyes.

Arthi had met him just before she left the town and told him she is going different place for studies. Told him to study well and never give up on his dreams. Over the years Arthi had kept contact with him through mail and always asked not mention it to anyone.

After thinking ask about Pradeep asks Sid...

Can you please tell me what has happened to sista?

It`s not my story to tell you Pradeep, give her some time she will only tell you eventually. After all you are her lovely kiddo whom she loves and cares very much. I need to go now your sista needs me now, we will met soon.

Pradeep understood what Sid said and they exhanged their contact numbers. They used to meet often spend time together. As time passed Arthi gradually started to open up to Pradeep and told everything what happened with her. Listening to what his sista went through he hugged her cried a lot, kept apologizing her for the mistakes of his elders. He started to despise his brother and sister.

The person Pradeep hated the most was Atharv how he was acting like sheep but who actual wolf in sheep clothing. He even owed to her in future if he needs to his help to teach them lesson he is ready to help her in anyways.
