Taiga, who was peacefully sipping from a cup of tea, while seated at a table with his family, heard the whispers coming from these overly nosy and highly stimulated gossipers.

"A Moon Goddess, huh?" the boy said in amusement. "How interesting…"

Nomin, who heard him speaking, looked at the boy with an arched eyebrow. "What are you mumbling about, Boy? Finally interested in looking for a cute girl your age?"

"Nope," Taiga responded quickly, before taking another long and slow sip from his teacup; Hoping that his cool answer would bother the older man.

It definitely worked, because his father's Beta's exasperated eye roll spoke volumes. The Alpha's son mirrored his father's stoic facade. He was a chip off of the old block, who projected an air of nonchalance. However, as the boy's guardian of many years, he knew that one would need to look a little closer to discover a heart brimming with compassion and empathy.
